Jp - 150 metres, and 43 tackles with no misses
and Ward - 121 metres, 39 tackles and just one miss
couple of really good stints there
and good to see Handley with a high work rate with carries, even if he's not the biggest

As young wingers go he's not small at all, he's got the frame to pack on a fair pit of timber I think. He reminds me of a young Hardaker in that respect.

Agreed. Leeds fans are very lucky that they support such a well run and succesful club. Who you support is purely an acciden of your birthplace, unless you're a glory hunting bandwagon jumper; and w have a few of those.
I've stood on terraces in attendances of less than 7k watching Leeds teams on a par with this Salford team. I suspect those who feel superior about our attendances weren't stood there with me.

You're restoring my opinion that Leeds fans a generally a one of the better breed of rl supporter hopefully we'll start getting things right on and off the pitch and the crowds will follow

while he's definately tall enough and has the frame to put on some muscle in the future, the official website lists him as being about 12 and a half stone at the minute (not sure how accurate it is, mind), so still a lot smaller than most first team wingers
certainly doesnt seem out of place though, and obviously doesnt mind doing the work either

you would expect that the biggest increase in attendances would occur when your club moves to a brand new stadium would you not?
im pretty sure that the saints and warrington both increased their crowds after their moves to new stadiums
more importantly for you you salford fans is what else it will take to make you want to go watch the side every week?
after all your fans havn't supported either a new stadium or even a huge investment in players have they?'"
Salford have moved from the heart of the city to the middle of nowhere saints and wire haven't. Also yesterday's Derby although not on at the same time put a lot of people off and just goes to show what we are up against in trying to get people through the gates

No way is he 12 stone, not a cat in yells chance. If he isn't close to 15 stone I will be very surprised. What are Hall and Briscoe down as?

Briscoe is about 13 and half stone, Hall is 16 and half stone according to the site

The ball stopped dead in mid air and went back and sideways at great speed. As Clarke would say uncatchable.'"
I know he's young and it's only his 3rd super league game, but you're being way too kind, he went far from well, even disregarding the errors, his defensive positioning especially was simply dreadful.
Like I said I know he's young and inexperienced, but that shouldn't mean when he has a poor game people dress it up with comments like that.

Unfortunately, there is some truth in this. Have a look at the highlights and where he chose to defend, as a full back, on the first 2 Salford scores.

As most know I am a great believer in youth being given their opportunity ....but I have yet to see anything that convinces me that Hardaker should step aside if only temporarily. The lad is certainly not a wnger either....contrast with how well Handley has stood up to the challenge. He by comparison has being an example of why you should give the youth an opportunity to 'step up'
Is there anybody who actually plays wing who might be on the fringe of being selected? (Whatever happened to Jamel Chisholm? Lol)
Looks like we are going to miss Hall rather badly.

| Actually think Golding could end up being a winger. Looks like BJB Mark II.

| When I started watching Leeds in the early 80s the average crowd was 5.5k. Many games stood in the Southstand you could pick a spot, or in the North stand basically choose where you wanted to sit.
Handley looks to me like he's going to be a big lad. He's tall and just looks like he's going to fill out. If he does centre would seem his most likely long term position.
Golding looks pretty talented but raw. Given his lack of stature and the way he plays, if Hardaker stays I'd start grooming him for 6/7 now.
