| 11 games is toward the low end of what I'd thought was right but it's hardly extreme leniency.
About right in my opinion.

I would agree. I think they should ignore the trial games though, and be 13 competitive games.

Yeah I agree with that. Don't see why they're included in suspensions to be honest. 13 would've been spot on in my view.

| Maybe Wigan will now suspend him too and make it 6 months?

| Minimum tariff was 8. He got 11. Fair dues.
Would he have played for Wales in the autumn?
For the record, it didn't ruin the showpiece event for me. It was a juicy bit of drama and controversy, and it lead to an underdog win in a match I expected to be all over after an hour.

No, he is due surgery so was ruled out anyway.

| Got off lightly in my opinion. Should have received in the region of 13-15 match ban, with compulsory attendance of an anger management course. He had definite anger issues in that match, he even had a pop at poor old Paul Wellens after he tried to bury Hohaias’s face.Alas Mr Wane also should shoulder some responsibility for Flowers actions (I would sentence him to watch An Inspector Calls).
Interesting to note, he has been selective to whom he apologised , initially to the Wigan club, fans, and players; then more belatedly to saints and their fans. He should really have apologised to the whole rl community .
After that verdict its no wonder Radlinski has no problem with the disciplinary justice dished out, I bet he’s laughing all the way to Wigan ABC. Am I right in thinking its not the first time the disciplinary have bottled it ,I seem to remember Bobby Goulding putting Jamie Mathiou in hospital at the time of 10 match bans for head tackles ,only for the disciplinary to give him a 1 month suspension or something similar so that he could represent his country in a end of season test series?Lets hope the Wigan forward pack take heed for next season as instead of Ben Flower it could easily have been any one of them in front of the beak.
Flower did not spoil the GF for me but he certainly tarnished the image of Rugby League.

| John Kear on 5live says he wants him back in Wales team.
Disgrace in my opinion should have been a year or sine die.
But DPP may still prosecute.

| Compared to what happened at the Serbia v Albania game last night this is a minor incident. Pity soccer doesn't get the same bad press for that that RL has for this.

| Issues at Serbia v Albania run a lot deeper than football.
I remain mystified as to why 11 matches for two punches is such a soft ban. Hohaia and Saints don't seem too worked up about it. Not sure why a Leeds forum has #RLMeltdown in progress.
Life ban? Really? Are we so precious?
It was bad. Worse than just punching. So 9 matches get added to the penalty. Which is nearly 6 times what it would have been for the first punch. That seems ok to me.

I agree I think there has been a massive over reaction to something that happens in a sizable % of RL games. This is a physically aggressive game and it will boil over many on here did have a problem with what happened at the Magic Weekend!!

| Eamonn McManus has behaved with a lot more dignity and understanding of Rugby League than all the press and news media put together. Thank heavens for that.
Of course it won't be enough for the hang and flog em brigade, many of whom have treated us to new depths of asininity on these boards.
I'm only glad that he didn't injure Hohai. I mean a life ban for that? Where on earth do you go if he'd say, broken an eye socket? On no wait punching a guy without provocation, who is defenceless on the ground early in a GF...I'm getting a strong sense of deja vu

Lenagan and McManus are not among my favourite personalities in RL (Radlinski I have plenty of respect for already), all 3 though have been pretty measured in their response, and I've found what they've said in public hard to disagree with.
