The same Dean Bell who constructed so much of the youth team infrastructure that produced nearly all of the Championship talent we've had this last 8 years?

| I don't think Duckett said anything that wasn't true. BTW You don't have to pledge £100 as there is a £50 option on their pledge page. I'm in for £50.

| I remain in for 0 money as long as it's just bailing out the board from the responsibility for their mess.
If they offer a share issue or something similar I'll pledge and donate my shares to a supporters' trust or similar, but I've got a family to feed and I'm not giving incompetent private businessmen hand-outs. I bet Mr Hood's wealth is already considerably greater than mine, so maybe he could dip his hand a bit deeper into his pocket and man up to the mess he and his colleagues have created.

| I realise that its all a bit last minute, you'd think Bulls would offer some stuff in return, which would more likely yield a response from the wider public. Shares, merchandise, signed stock sell off on E-bay etc, would all entice me to maybe spend money at the club, than simply pouring it down the drain.

Maybe they need Keef to show them how it's done?

40515_1330766741.jpg Don't worry about avoiding temptation.
As you grow older, it will avoid you!

| Quote: Andy Gilder "The minute he opened his mouth on Look North and tried to lay the majority of the blame at the door of my club, any sympathy I had for him disappeared
Hold you hands up first to the mistakes you (as a collective BoD both past and present) have made, get your mitigation in second. Don't sound like a whiny primary school kid telling to teacher, particularly not if you're wanting to play on people's consciences to open their wallets.'"
Yes my thoughts too.
At such a crucial time this was a most unimpressive performance from someone who looked way out of his depth. For the club to field an employee rather than the major shareholder rather shows the pedigree of those at the top. For this appeal to have been made at the very last minute also shows a complete disregard for their supporters.
I wish the Bradford supporters well for the future which I believe will be best served with a complete new club. If the current Bulls set up goes into administration it is only the end of this failed commercial company and not a Bradford RL club. As happened in the past the goodwill of the rugby league community in Bradford will ensure that a new club will rise phoenix like from the ashes. Bradford Phoenix?

| Better things to spend my cash on. They mismanaged the finances and want people to give money so they can have another go. Priceless. Go into administration, a new board and start again

I've still not seen it, but based on Andy's account, when conducting a PR exercise a club who were at the time headed by the senior partner of a huge legal firm citing a long and expensive legal battle as a major reason for the mire they are in , whist possibly factually correct isn't going to garner much sympathy from certain areas.
You can only assume that given RBS's decision that the business plan moving forward doesn't look exactly robust, so asking the fans to bail them out in the short term may provide a short term fix, but does it end there?

982.jpg [quote:1pqtnbtj]Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.[/quote:1pqtnbtj]

| Quote: Adeybull "Out of interest, did he try and argue the other club was in the wrong, or did he simply state the fact as you have done there?
If he said what you said, he was merely stating a truthful fact. Regardless of the rights and wrongs, the legal battle was expensive (not least in terms of legal fees and other distractions) and long. Was he wrong to state that?'"
It was entirely disingenuous given that the final payment of the settlement monies was paid in 2010 and this crisis has happened in 2012.
They continue to pull the wool over your eyes but if it helps to paint Leeds as the bad guys then go for it. However, like Andy says, it'll hardly help persuade this part of the RFL community to help out.

| Anyone else starting to cringe at the efforts trying to raise money coming from the Bulls?
They're clearly not going to raise 500K for next week. I've read comments on Facebook & Twitter, and I get the impression that apart from a few at each other club, most fans, including Bulls fans, don't care if they go under.
The whole saga reminds me of a drug addict desperately begging & pleading for money to pay for another quick fix, but ultimately it will all end in a sad pitiful death.
I'll be there next week...a fiver a ticket well spent

| How do you value the shares in a failing business with little in the way of saleable assets and a shedload of liabilities?
For the Bulls to move forward out of this, someone is going to have to buy out their majority shareholder. As we all know from experience, he's not a man given to sensible negotiation.

The whole thing is pure madness and the Bulls fans and many of other good people are being suckered in! We have Leon Price putting his Grand Final ring up for auction & we have own coach selling his CC jersey from 2000!
It seems, unfortunately, that advice from the majority or Wakey fans and many other throughout the game, has fallen on deaf ears!
Bullbuilder has decided to support the clubs fund raising efforts and prop-up the existing BOD at the Bulls - www.bullbuilder.co.uk/NewsItem.a ... e0a72661fa
I can't help but think they are making a huge mistake and delaying the inevitable!
I also think, as a neutral who inadvertently had a front row seat when Trinity went through this, I think they are kidding themselves with statements like this "given that the club’s position is unique and not directly comparable to other recent administrations, such as that from which Wakefield emerged last season."
Let me tell you something, it is almost exactly the same and most of you guys know it! The only difference is the owe the tax man even more money than Wakefield!
I for one think they and other fans and clubs supporting this, are potentially making a huge error that they are likely to regret this in the too distant future. I genuinely hope they don't and I personally would be delighted to be proved wrong!
I wish the Bulls and their fans all the best... but equally, sorry guys... I am out!
