St Helens CC draw record during the SL era is an excellent example of randomness in action.
During the entire SL-era (1996-2014) they have been drawn at home in the CC 25 times out of 52 or 48% of the time. This figure can be broken down as follows...
(1996-2004)... Home Draws=06, Away Draws=17
(2004-2011)... Home Draws=19, Away Draws=04
(2012-2014)... Home Draws=00, Away Draws=06
-----------------------------------------------------------
(1996-2014)... Home Draws=25, Away Draws=27
-----------------------------------------------------------
Saints had a run of 13 randomly selected home draws in succession between 2004 and 2008.
Saints are currently on a run of 6 randomly selected away draws in succession since 2012.
