Ive travelled to Australia on three seperate occasions during the last fifteen years and the Name of Hull kr has always been a very prominent one among the RL Fraternity, especialy in Sydney where i've spent quite a bit of time.
It may be because of the links with ex kr players such as local lad Phill lowe who went over there in the 70s to play for Manly, plus some great players to come over here from Australia in the past such as Artie Beetson, Gavin Miller Mark Broadhurst to name but a a few.
The fact that we spent a few years in the wilderness did not erase our past history from Knowledgable RL fans memories, so to say we are considered the Hunslet of the city is crazy and laughable if not bordering on the ridicolous.

As for the argument about who are the "big teams" in SL, there are genuinely 3 - Wigan, Leeds and Hull. Whatever Wolves are achieving right now is just like the onset of Bull mania in the mid '90's. Here today, (probably) gone tomorrow. "Big clubs" take decades to build a solid fan base.
