Pleased with that tonight. Team is still miles off but hopefully has turned a corner now.

Lui and Rhyse Martin have added to the squad and we look to be heading to safety now at long last.

I think there is still room for improvement in the team, but there is clearly a real team spirit now. Defensively we look a different team to the one of the last two years. 1try conceded in 2 matches is a testament to that.

Not safe yet, bit we don't look like a team who'll go down.

If results go our way, we'll be 2 wins clear of most teams, and 3 clear of London. And 1 more win would do it

Quote: Swoggy Loiner "I thought Myler was very good tonight, and got through a ton of graft in defence.

Martin excellent, and Lui is such a clever 6.

Is that us just about safe?'"

I think we are safe ,but if results go our way this weekend it should make just about certain

The club management has come in for some heavy criticism over the last few months, but the decision to bring in Lunt and let Watkins’s go has proved for me the turning point of the season. Obviously this has proved highly successful. Also giving the captaincy to merrin seems to have worked pretty well. Hopefully if we can pick up some more victories, the season will end up on a relatively high note. The playing squad seem happy within themselves, which may have an influence on the appointment of the next coach. If an experienced test player like merrin goes to Sinfield and says this agar bloke is a good coach he may be awarded a permanent contract. Or assistant coach to the new incoming coach. It’s worth remembering that agar inherited this shambles. So he is blameless on that. I note that the Warrington coach who was the new messiah is no longer flavour of the month. So they may well be looking out for a new coach, especially if they get a good Wembley thumping.

Great effort from the boys despite the poor refereeing.
Myler went well and lui is the difference without him we had a blip and as soon as he came back on we picked up.
Lunt is fantastic in his early stint and in martin we have a proper player.
Good recruitment by the board credit where it's due.

That was a great level headed performance last night, we didn’t crack and we didn’t bite to Catalans dirty, Grubby tactics, apart from the Singleton incident which I loved to be fair because I can’t stand Kasianos dirty ways. Peteru should get his place back now. Martin was outstanding and with a pre season behind him will be even better, Lui added everything we needed go forward, Kick dimension, pressure, plus more. I hate to say it but with Lui, Myler is a different player, but will it continue? Lunt I personally think is going great, two very controlled and strong starts, I would like to think though if we were throwing a game away or being too erratic, we would bring him back in to steady things, he adds a lot. Ava is easily one of the best props in the league and Cuthbo is trying really hard again. Merrin as Captain is fantastic, Briscoe did really well and as expected he got some serious pasty. All the players played well apart from our two, Singleton and Ferres. Singleton for Peteru and Ferres for Ward.

As people have said, a great performance particularly given singletons brainfart.

We are far from safe though and nobody should get carried away as we have tough games ahead. The key one is to beat London. Do that and then the pressure on London will be too much and they will go down.

Really good to see us backing up last week's great result and performance. Consistency is the key from here on in.

It's great having someone who turns most of the 4 pointers into 6s too, it makes a hell of a difference.

I think beating Saints is the important one, that could mean London game is a dead rubber, I don’t think London will beat either Cas or Catalan

Can't wait to see a back row of Martin, Ward and Merrin.

That was a proud performance, pride in the shirt they're wearing and willing to work for each other. Probably not a top of the table performance but keep that level of commitment and we'll win more than we lose.
All credit to the backroom staff in turning around the shambles of the early season form.
Let's just hope for some consistency in the remaining part of the season

Who goes at 13? I would put Ward there. With Mellor and I would genuinely keep Donaldson he deserves it, in back up and Sutcliffe as utility.

I won't disagree but I was more suggesting the London game should be easier than saints - on paper anyway and if we were to lose to London it's a double whammy.

If we can be safe by the time we meet London all the better I agree.

Wouldn't put ward there, his body doesn't need the workload of a 13 coming back.

Ward is finished, if he does play again this season he will be injured in no time, doubt he will last more than 4-5 games next year. unfortunately for him his body is not up to being a promotional RL player. we need to move him on look eleswhere.
