| The lineup I'd like Wane to put out:
S Tomkins
Charnley
Goulding
Thornley
Richards
Powell
Williams
Flower
McIlorum
Mossop
Farrell
Hansen
O'Loughlin
Crosby
Lauaki
Hughes
L Tomkins
Stick to what worked last week, just with Goulding back in for Tuson, with Hughes dropping to the bench. I can see Burke or Taylor being rotated in though, which I'd be fine with.

3076_1671446335.jpg SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS
For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_3076.jpg |

Williams is in France with the England U18's so I guess that means that Smith will play, or Sam will be at 6.

It'll probably be same 13 as Monday and McShane/Sutcliffe for the final bench. Would personally prefer to see Singleton replace Moore but I doubt it'll be.'"
Agreed. I understand Moore has had limited game time but he doesn't seem to make much impact when he does come on and his lack of mobility in defence is a problem.

| Wonder if Tomkins will face us this time? Or will he withdraw late again?

As a method of contraception it's claimed to be effective 96% of the time. On current form it's doubtful Wigan would need Tomkins to shaft Leeds.

There's enough Tomkins genes floating about.
Withdraw standing up - you get an effective rating of 98%.
Aye Wigan have looked good in their recent run of hard fixtures.

What makes you think facing Leeds won't just be an extension to that run of soft opponents?

| It's about time someone gave Wigan a good battering! Lets hope we can right our wrongs from Monday. Hat trick from Hardaker!! He'll have a point to prove!

If Hull and Hull KR couldn't do it I doubt Leeds will be able to either.

It may well occur.
But I fancy Leeds would have been satisfied with 2 out of 4 points for the Saints/Wigan games, so there will be a strong focus in getting the result on Sunday (to avoid 3 defeats on the spin) .....at an event which they can pull rabbits out of the hat. No love lost between the 2 teams so I'd fancy Leeds' patched up pack will be up for it.
We've also done the business in the last 2 meetings, Wigan run-away leaders at the moment, strong favourites etc. I'll take that.
Just a thought.

| Re the two points from four I said the exact same thing prior to the Saints game on here but I also noted that Monday represented by far the best opportunity to get them and for twenty minutes it was a non-contest as Saints had failed to show up, just a matter of whether Leeds would win by a big margin or a embarrassingly (for SL) big margin.
It'd be crazy to write off any teams chances completely - as Saints showed in the final hour at Headingley on Monday- you can't do that in sport, it'll all be decided on the day and Leeds have a fighter's chance with a proud, unblemished record in this unique annual event.
Does that mean I expect a Leeds win on Sunday - sadly I don't and at the moment and I fear Hull will be firm favourites to extend Leeds' unwanted losing streak to four the following week. But that's just me.

Don't think either team can expect to win. But I have a feeling it won't be a damp squib......or squid.

I'd have stuck to your original guns tvoc.
Chances are a way of life for anything. There is a chance of someone winning the lottery this weekend, or somebody getting to poke Cheryl Cole.
These are always high odds. Leeds winning this weekend is equally as high. Without props to match Peacock, and the woefull form of our half backs and hooker, I would give you a better chance of winning the lottery this weekend than Leeds winning.
