Pitts can certainly consider himself unlucky to be omitted from the squad for Hauraki unless, there are reasons other than form, for that decision.

| No Cross again and no press releases saying he's injured. Seems to have been 'rested' for a while now?
Wonder if we'll get to see Bailey this week at long last. Sightings of him playing in the middle are nearly as rare as Ali recently

I'd certainly play Hauraki in this game, a home tie against an off-form team. He's supposed to be a big player for us (in a way that Pitts isn't yet) and it's in our interests to give him the opportunity to find form and confidence. Ditto Lauititi. Obviously there comes a time when the opportunity stops, but it isn't yet.
Think there'll be a bit of resting/rotation this week. Bailey and Lauititi in, Kirke and JJB (or Clarkson if not fit) out.

It's the cup mate and I'm taking nowt for granted. What applies to the pies and dulls is the same for us. I'm still waiting for proper evidence Leeds have turned the corner.

His stay looks brief, epecially factoring in his boyfriend is likely to off at the end of the year.
Maybe he should be used on one of Caddick's sites? As that is where he excels probably.

There's got to be something dodgy there. Especially considering Hauraki manages to surface often enough despite poor performances.
Cross certainly aint set the world alight, but he's been a damn site better than Weller. So I can't see performances been the deciding factor on selection in Cross case.

| I say get rid at first chance! Widnes? Bulls? Fax? Crusaders? Back to Oz! Couldn't give a fook. Would rather have ambler and Amor around the club!

Cross is light years in front of Wellar, but Kirke is light years in front of the pair of them! So that shows where we are with the 2 new signings. Both have been given fair cracks of the whip with game time, they just haven't produced the goods to warrant inclusion.
I can't see Wellars re-introduction lasting long epsecially with 3 better second rowers (Clarkson, Pitts, Ali) all back or nearly back. His performance last week was probably one of his better efforts but even in this case his weaknesses in defence were well exposed. He missed his first one-on-one front on tackle when we were camped in our 20 and he was at fault for the only try we leaked.
