| Quote finglas="finglas"TBH, I think it's good that the Bulls are trying ideas to try to get the support back and stabilise the ship. Now I may be in a minority on this board but I doubt it and my opimnion is that the game of RL needs as many strong clubs as possible. Especially clubs that have a good track record of bringing through British players.
Of course we will mock each other but at the end of the day the RL family needs to work together to improve the games profile both in our own communities and in the wider world, it is the only way our sport will continue to grow.'"
Of course, there ship was sinking and they needed to do something. So now they have recaptured the lost supporters, see if they can keep them for the season after in which I presume the prices will go up so they can get near to competing with the big clubs.

As has been said your estimate of revenues being 30% is probably incorrect based on the number of potential season ticket holders and we will have to wait and see what the long-term effects are, but the Bulls look to have reveresed the decline in season ticket holders and will be getting a good chunk of money up front for the coming season. I applaud their efforts to come up with new ways to target their audience in these difficult economic times.

| This is good news for Bradford and Leeds. Hopefully it will mean more of Bradford's following will be coming to Headingley, and that our derby will be revitalised to the levels of the early-mid 00s.

| Im a bit suspicious of the pledge numbers since as has been said they were about 3,000 short not so long ago. Considering the length of time the pledge had been going its suprising that so many people signed up so quickly.
Having said that, fair play to Bradford for trying things to turn around the club. A Bradford that doesn't win things is always fun to a Leeds fan such as myself. A weak Bradford club is not funny for the game or for Leeds. Well not for long anyway.

| Maybe Bradford are slowly coming back down to earth, for their natural position in the rugby world.
I remember trips to Northern in the early nineties, a dark miserable place, with frowning supporters and an average team. With middle of the road results.
Meh.

Doubt it. It will be a very long time until those days come back around.

The only problem with someone who's used a calculator to work out that they are paying £5 or so a game to watch each home match is that they are going to bitch and whine like hell when they have to come to Headingley and pay £20 on the gate, you can eat at McDonalds all week for that sort of money.

Unless we were playing Leeds of course, more often than not it was 2pts to us IIRC!

| The last breath of a dying club on a life support machine.
What's hilarious as well, is they've got potter. So a return to 'no plan b' style of play.
