Absolutely agree. If anybody thinks Carmont or Bailey is an improvement on what we have, you are seriously desperately deluded. Why the hell do you think Wigan signed Gleeson?

| We certainly missed Smith on Sunday. I also have to question Senior's role on Sunday as he was constantly out of position. I'm not saying he was to blame entirely. There were times we seemed to allow them room to run with the ball. It looked like the GF but in reverse.

So if Smith leaves at the end of the year, you would have Gibson over Carmont???

Definately, with out a doubt.
And, there is no proof yet that Smith will be any better than Gibson at centre. He is a class fullback, a class winger. But nothing seen yet to suggest he is a better centre than Gibson.

| I'm starting to wish we'd never let Toopi go now. Whilst not setting the world on fire over here he was adequate at right centre, and also looked pretty destructive on the rare occasion he moved into the pack. Depends what condition his body was in thoigh, I suppose.

I'm aware of that. Those who start new accounts usually hang around rather than posting and disappearing.
Rolling your eyes is so very 'Erasure'.

He was castigated wrongly on here IMO.

Who says he won't make a return?
He can't be on the side-lines for too much longer. And with Eastwood being moot, there is obvious space on the salary. Could it happen realistically? Could the 2p be back at Headingley? I liked him, I stuck up for him alot. A centre who can chalk up 30 tackles a game is always worth considering IMO. And looking at the season review DVD from '07, he had a hand in more try's than you would have thought.
Toops back home???? Surley not??????

Didn't we move him to left centre for a game against Saints at KR in '07 and he kept Gidley very quiet.
