| Was it representative of the 17 players available, I’d say not by a long way. There’s no point bemoaning those missing but just expecting the players available to play to their potential. They didn’t.

| We need to try move Thompson onto the promoted Championship side to free up a quota spot. Flatfooted when he receives the ball. Walters can spend all next season at Fev.
Also I understand Myler's dual role benefits him, but Broadbent needs structure from a set position. Not just hanging around dummy half.
Hopefully Prior was just cooked. Should never have stayed on that long. Game was already lost.
Half the people on here knew we had no chance tonight. Hopefully no harm done. I.e. A reality check rather than crushing confidence.
Also basic 1 on 1 tackling was p1$$ poor.

| Everyone knows we had no chance, that and the performance itself are separate things.
The result might have been inevitable but the performance didn’t have to be.

Not just the kids, the side as a whole needs to put everything in to it if we make it. We'll likely fall short but if the boys give it all it'll highlight what needs improvement better than any amount of theorising ever will

Don’t get me wrong I didn’t think wed win and am disappointed in the effort shown in that first half, some of the defending was shocking , im just not going to throw the teddy about, they need to realise that it wasn’t good enough and give it their all next week.
If start Johnson from here on in, we looked 100% better with him on

| I don’t think anyone is throwing their teddy about. Agreed, Johnson improved the fundamental DH role 10 fold.

Don’t push it, knowles is 24, Aaron smith 24 and lees nearly 24. Cameron smith is 22, nobody is classing him as a kid.

| I went for Saints by 30 and after the first half thought they would double that prediction.
Full credit to Leeds in the second half for a much better defensive display against probably the best team in the comp who wanted to prove a point at home and in front of the cameras.
Holroyd and Johnson for the short time he was on did well along with Myler who I feel is our player of the year.
Smith for me put in a shift which cannot be said for others such as Thompson, Sutcliffe and Walters.
I still don`t get it with Tom Briscoe 2 or 3 half decent games a year is not good enough.
2 tries from Saints debatable in the first half Knowles first one and Makinsons from a forward pass by Walmsley and deliberate use of the knees by Coote at the Dwyer try.
Other than that we were totally outclassed.

I’ll take it back to the cup game when I was ridiculed by some on here. Until Tetevano got sent off, and he bashed him a couple of times, Walmsley didn’t fancy it one bit. Was terrible on the GB your along with Thompson when up against top class international forwards.

There was nothing wrong with either of those tries? The knowles one looked iffy on first watch, but Myler rips the ball, then Knowles regathers by grounding. The Walmsley ball to Makinson was about half a yard backwards.
Mata’utia going off injured seemed to really disrupt our rhythm for a while, I’m surprised you didn’t get a try out of it, especially with Welsby off with a head assessment as well. We were just starting to regain our composure when the second half finished.
I think I saw earlier in the thread Leeds were missing 8, Saints were missing 5 so it’s not like injuries were worlds apart.

I did say debatable mate and looked like Knowles knocked it on.
I`ll bow to your better eyesight for Makinsons try as I thought it was forward.
The difference for me regardless of how many either team had out was our go forward and lack of size up front.
Personally I don`t think we justify a top 6 .

Kids?
Our starting prop, second row and Loose forward were all 20
Also saying Welsby is s kid is like us saying Newman is s kid
Both are international standard players
