Let's get the Leeds blinkers off here folks. Leeds had no right not to travel without RFL approval. Catalans should get the points and additional 2 point penalty would be fair imho

I'm sure the French public would be delighted knowing their wellbeing was in the hands of the RFL.Imagine if our squad had to isolate themselves after travelling to another country. The French would go spare and rightly so. The RFL can swivel. There's more important things than RL.

Are you mad? The government clearly laid out guidelines and Leeds followed them. The RFL are just trying to save face in this daft situation that our Government can’t make a proper decision on. The game should have been cancelled anyway as France and Spain cancelled all sporting events, but the RFL are too spineless to do that, Rimmer has an agenda with Leeds anyway. The game should just be replayed and that’s it.

Nothing that the idiot Rimmer and his cronies does surprises me really. If Leeds get a sanction of any kind they should get a lawyer on the case. Just rearrange the bloody game. It will be to Catalans advantage anyway as they will have Tomkins and their vociferous crowd back too

The only sanction i can see being any where near fair is Cats get the 2 points, anything above that is ridiculous

Probably will happen because the game is run by clowns thinking only about money and not players or public safety.
If one of the top clowns is infected then we will see what happens...the top brass make our sport the laughing stock

Agree with this. Although I feel that the RFL are looking to make an example of Leeds.If and when they dish out sanctions be it points deductions and/or a suspended fine, they should challenge it on appeal or through the courts.After all they caved in when Wigan appealed a points deduction.

Let them do their worst. The negative publicity following any sanction will only highlight to the rest of the country what RL fans have known all along.

Especially with Toronto deciding to isolate the whole team? Would they get sanctioned!

In the absence of any guidance or leadership from the RFL or Super League, Leeds did the only thing they could do.
Given that it was still a unilateral decision, the process for that still needs to be applied and any sane organisation will conclude that the club took the only appropriate measure available to them. The only question is whether the RFL or Super League are indeed sane organisations.

Should take SL to Court for attempting to send Leeds to France and risking further exposure to Leeds players, Catalans players, match officials, aeroplane passengers and many more. Plus potentially leaving Leeds stranded in France! What sane organisation would try to force that?

Remi Casty has summed the situation up nicely "I'm not sick, I'm not afraid of being either, but I don't want to catch this virus and pass it on to someone more fragile,". He's told the club he's self isolating so not training or playing. Leeds would surely give a similar argument for not travelling

The RFL should have suspended competition earlier anyway - especially any trips through airports and overseas. This is all a load of crap. Leeds have done the competition a favour, if anything they should get extra points for common sense.
