| Mik is a good solid prop. A couple more like him and we'd look much more solid. But he's never going to punch holes in a defence, absolutely muller people in tackles, or really do anything to create big moments in our favour. Just goes about his job the same way most weeks. I'd say that's why some fans of other teams (particularly Sts) don't rate him - they generally see him toiling away in an outgunned pack and wonder what the fuss is about.
Put Mik alongside a Walmsley-standard monster (maybe next year please Santa/BA) and he'd look much more standout.
That's not putting him down - the best teams have both kinds of props, workers and dynamic players. We haven't had that at a high level since JP and Kylie retired.

Who cares what Saints fan think
Hes made more clean breaks this season than Lees and Delaney together, and as nearly as many metres per game as both of them put together.
Mik is quality, has carried this pack for years, and some weirdos on here moaning about him won't change that

| Neither will making him out to be a superstar. He is what he is - a hardworking prop. Its the lack of quality in the rest of our front row option that's the problem.

Who's made him out to be a superstar?

Give him another couple of top quality props in our rotation and he might be able to take his game to the next level. Whether he can do that or not, he's quite clearly the best prop at Leeds and has been for some years now.

| I agree that he has no decent backing and for me he would make a quality bench prop.
I would not let him go but it depends on his contract and how much cap he gets.
We need Two new world class props not projects and I know we don’t have the cap for that.
McDonald I agree is a solid second row forward Jim.

You think a prop with "no aggression" who "never ever comes through the line" would make a good impact prop off the bench?

42 tackle busts 2 clean breaks. The mist meters in the league for a prop 3rd 4th most meters per carry for a prop.
Stats tell a very different story.

Its seemed to start last year when Walters signed for Wigan, some people thought we let Walters and should have let Okedski go instead.
Just ask Wigan fans what they think of walters “Rancid” was one comment, turnstile, no go forward, not a back rower, lazy,
More fool Wigan for paying massively over the odds for him.

Two world class props would amount to half our salary cap. It's just not going to happen. We need to come up with two very good props, which as other clubs have proved, is very achievable. Still think Oledski would be a starter though.

| A world class prop in Nelson Asofa Solomona is available, the only snag is he gets paid 900kAUD. That's probably a bit rich for us...
We need to find two Kylie Leuluai's for next season.

| We need two.
One needs to be a big nasty metre muncher, the other a solid leader that can play it hard in D.
Hoping Eseh,Hudson,Goudemand can do either to the level we need is unrealistic.

| Mik would be fine with more support.
Statistically he’s been doing fine. Arguably better.
On the eye test it doesn’t always match up, because he doesn’t have many big impact plays. It’s probably made worse that the fact few other members of our pack have that high impact either.
For all his faults that was something Walters did have last year. But we need both.
Mik is part of the solution not the problem, and anyone who thinks otherwise I’d question what they were watching.

| Neruda.
He s not a big impact prop from the bench more like an expensive Ian Kirk or a poor man’s Ryan Bailey but I was asked would I get rid and I replied it depends on how much cap he gets.
