Cuthbertson had a cracking game seems to have settled into the team really well. Seemed more controlled with the offloads tonight as well. Ward as always seems to get through a ton of defence. The pack in general dominated Wigan. As with the printer I wasn't too fussed we didn't get mossop and tonight renforced that.
Ablett and hall were poor. But in general we should have won by more but never thought we were going to lose.

The score line totally flattered the Pie eaters and I believe we have still got plenty of improvement in us.

why do you think Ward was poor?
got through a tonne of defence, helped win the ruck in defence, seemed to win his own collisions and made a few half breaks and a break Burrow wasted.
also put on a lovely quick pass for the Handley try

TBF he said just before he praised Ward who got through a ton of defence so I'm guessing he put Ward's name again by mistake and probably meant someone else had a poor game.

Very good win. Always nice to get a win against a top rival and especially wigan. Cuthbertson was mom easily, peacock had his best game this season, zak was very good. Stevie ward yet again was quality. Really good hands and really looks to take the ball up.

On the performance as a whole I thought we could've been better, ablett bombing two tries in the first half could've really cost us on another day. Our game management in the final 10 mins I didn't like, I know we were two scores up but we were inviting them into the game and we know wigan can score back to back if they get a roll on.

Handley I like the look of, a bit of bulk needed but that will come, looks pretty composed and put in a real tidy finish for his try. With briscoe ruled out for a number of weeks, with needing a shoulder operation. Ash could get a run.

All in all very happy with the two points icon_biggrin.gif

What's this about Briscoe needing a shoulder op? How long is he expected to be out?

We completely battered them, but somehow never put the game to bed. I'd have loved to see that great map graphic they show on sky, itd be like a portuguese flag

Well given that's usually Phil Clarke's department I'd guess he wasn't as keen to do the stats tonight?
Did anybody watch it on TV tonight? If so how was our old friend Clarkey? A bit quiet in the final period I'm guessing? Did he find a way to claim Burgess never lost the ball over the line?

Why don't you watch the replay instead of guessing?

He was pretty quiet. Bit of jizzing about Manfredi but knew Wigan were well beaten. It was Cummings who was being the biggest idiot this week, to be fair.

A bit touchy are you because Wigan lost are you?

In fact, are you Phil Clarke?
