Absolutely correct

On paper our squad is much better than KRs.

I don’t doubt your information there Marty, probably bang on. But it raises the question who made the decision? Was it the director of coaching as you would expect? That been Agar, how many roles is he having to fill.
But more importantly even if the correct decision, kind of highlights the hypocrisy of the club, at a time with what what they are doing with the head coach role. And I further suspect, my opinion of course, that the space will have been created for more jobs for the boys.

At the beginning of the season I would have agreed but even with the mid season signings I don't think it's that much better. Back row is ok but we have no metal in the pack and panic when we have the ball in hand. Centres are fine, top try scorer on one wing, other is ok. That leaves the halves and the front row.

| The next appointment is huge.so now it is certain to be Agar, sorry but it is going to set us back several more seasons. I don't buy the waffle of 'he will do a job for another year while contracts run down' etc.. we need the right man in NOW to do the rebuild. The same problems will still be there this time next year when we are floating in the pish pool of mediocrity.
Agar failed at Hull failed at Wakey and is derided by Warrington fans for his stint behind the scenes in his last gig. Now he has scraped a few wins to barely keep us up with all the resources we have and the luxury of mid season signings and it qualifies him to take arguably the biggest job in british RL?? It is what it is but it baffles me how any Leeds fan can be ok with this.

Agree 100%...Really hope he proves us wrong but my god, he's more or less a laughing stock with fans of the teams he's coached, got a rubbish CV, and here he is as our new permanent head coach, we'v appointed based on nothing apart from that he's mates with upper management it seems. Shocking decision imo,we'l hear the laughter from from France to Canada on monday morning.

Personally I don’t care what he’s done in the past, I care what he’s going to do in the future.
We don’t know who else has applied or who the other options are, I’ll judge him on how he goes next year and the year after if he’s still in the job, this transition period was always going to take at least 3 years
An coach from the NRL is no guarantee of success, Furner was praised in here (including by myself) and look how that turned out.

I posted weeks back that I was talking to an ex player of his who said he was a really good coach and this player has worked under a lot of coaches.

And he may get the results, we’ll have to wait and see, it won’t be next year though.
What I’m not looking forward to though is after every loss or below par performance next year (which will happen) is the agar out posts, he’s a brave man taking on the job IMO

Aghhh the transition we have been in that, or should have been planning properly since around 2012 for me the fact we are in this state at the end of 2019 is poor to say the least. So only 3 more years of this dross or maybe a bit more and things will be rosy again? Great
