Yeah you understand what I mean. Agree future rosy but those three young lads are nowhere near the quality of say Bateman /Farrell. Martin and Mellor are nowhere. Stevie was our best BR by some distance....
Also think we can't get carried away with the young talent. I would say still not clear just how good they'll end up being. Injuries and mental strength will decide.

Bateman and Farrell are probably the best second row pairiing in SL where Wigan are not has strong is probably front row. In a salary capped sport its very hard to be strong in every position.

Yeah that's really true. Think we just expect every Leeds team to have class in every position, like we were used to for so long...!

We might end up challenging this year if we get our best players back, but for me I'm already looking at next season as our big push. Give our young boys another year development and we'll be cooking on gas, even if they won't be at full potential yet.

I am carried away with our young talent. I've seen most of them coming through, some playing against Aussie Schoolboys - you knew Mik would make it for one. I'm very confident in Holroyd too if he can stay fit for long enough. Edwards and Gannon will make first grade 100%. Definitely question marks over how a bunch of others will develop but I have no doubts that this crop is the best since the Goldens - long time between drinks!

There are several still in the academy who are real talents too - for a start will be amazed if we don't see the young Sinfield debut for Leeds in a couple of years. Luke Gale is towards the back end of his career now, and Eastmond is a) a gamble and b) also towards the back end. We really need some boom halves coming through over that timescale otherwise will definitely need to sign someone from NRL to compete. We saw what a difference Hastings made for Wigan - he's on our side and we win that game.

For me this is the best young Leeds pack we've developed since Diskin, Danny Ward et al.

Living well away from Leeds I've not had the pleasure of watching the latest crop develop but even from the little I've seen I'd say there's been a sharp uptick in the quality coming through. And also the quantity.

Anybody heard anything more on Harry Newman?The club were quite vocal about his recovery from injury in the lead up to the season, but it all seems to have gone a bit quiet of late. Hope there haven't been complications.

Seen him doing some fitness on Instagram recently. Can only assume he's going well and just waiting for the all clear to return!

We all need to be patient with Harry it was a very bad and complicated break even when hes back it may be some time before we see him back to top form.
