| Also I wouldn’t write Tui off just yet, I think being dropped may give him the kick up the he needs to get fit, he is a talented player and still only 24

| Merrin was my personnel Mom up to the 80 minute mark, Hurrel was his usual rocks and diamonds but his brilliance outweighs his silly mistakes for my money and makes more yards after initial contact than anyone else in the team. Walker showed why he's 1st choice fb and Myler had his best game for the club to date. Still not convinced about Singleton, interested to see his stats and how many meters he carried especially after first contact

| Did cas have any injuries tonight? Cos Powell has failed to mention it/use it as an excuse for the last month!

| Thought Merrin was fantastic. It was like watching Peacock the way he just kept going making good drive after good drive.
Walker obviously great too. Whatever shortcomings he has we have to stick with him. He’s too good to let slip away.
Myler had his best game I’ve seen in a Leeds shirt.
Lots of good performances there and it shows the desire is clearly there.
Don’t know how McShane got away without a sinbin at least. I get the ref might not have seen it fully but neither did Hicks see the Brett Ferres incident last week and the video ref clearly told him what had happened, so why not tonight. Any suspension he gets won’t help us at all.
Powell really is a pillock. He makes Shaun Wane look gracious. If Powell’s attitude remains like that then both he and Cas will remain small time.

I’ve always thought that Powell’s blame everything on everyone else attitude is why he’s not won anything as a coach! He is I think a good coach but not the messiah that people (especially on this forum) make him out to be.
I do think the group of players we have has the desire and passion to do something, were maybe just a couple of players short. I think Tui or Mclennan might get a shot next week as I think Myler may get a ban for the spear tackle!

| Much better. We still have a huge problem mentally once we get a lead, and our kicking game is terrible, but we did very well to hold on and get the win in the end. Walker was very good, as was Myler - now do it again next week.

| A good result for you, this will do your confidence good. The team need to build on it now if they can. Cas are like a few teams ATM hit and miss other than STS and Wire the league is all over the place!

| Just needed the win last night and job done.would have been a real heart breaker to lose another tight game.
As for Powell, of course the players celebrated like they did because of the reason above. We were getting into a desperate situation and needed the points badly. Hopefully we can kick on a bit now; still lots of work to do in defence especially goal line but i'm sure Furner realises that and it will get better.

I have been a Critic of Singleton, but he played very well last night, only fair he gets credit. He is getting stick that doesn’t match up. He was especially good in the collision last night, which he hasn’t been previously. Ten carries and 86 metres, our best average gain in the pack. 33 tackles and 2 misses. For a sub he worked himself in well.
Cameron Smith stats, wow. Top tackler and 127 metres carried.

| Thought all the youngsters were brilliant. Mentions also for Myler, Merrin & Hurrell. Delighted for Furner. Here's hoping it's not a false dawn and we continue to build from here.
Thought Powell was very gracious in defeat. A lot of coaches would have mentioned their injuries, blamed the ref, blamed their bad luck and given no acknowledgement to the opposition. The guy's a class act.

Even Shaun Wane used to praise the opposition when Wigan lost and it was rare he’d blame anyone but his own team.
Powell has looked daft 2 weeks in a row now.

| Really bizarre this weird praise for Myler, he was bang average again last night, his crappy negative kicks for touch like it's an achievement, well I suppose it is an achievement for him when he doesn't punt it out on the full but he wasn't a big player for you last night; walker Merrin Smith and singleton can take that mention.
