| Quote: Biff Tannen "Yes me too.Like it or not, McDermott does have enough legitimate excuses too for the demise when reporting to GH. I don't like to use them myself, and there certainly shouldn't be any excuses for us being as bad as we are at times and rooted to the the foot of the table, but the reality is that since game one against Warrington the guy has had nowhere near his full squad to choose from.
Iv'e said before i think he will get his players back for Middle 8's and we will rip through it and GH will spin it as business as usual for next year after a blip out of the clubs control. I personally think things run much deeper and Mac has just run his race as head coach, and feel we will be here mid season next year after his dismissal asking why action wasn't taken earlier, but it certainly looks like he will be given the chance to dig himself out of this hole.'"
We have enough excuses to scrape in to the top 8 and maybe finish 6/7 after 30 rounds, if he fails to do that then I think he has to go at the end of the year.
I dont know the reality, but I always had GH down as a pretty ruthless guy who only really cares about winning trophies and keeping the club in profit- he might care about bring through young players also (but that could be from a business standpoint as much as anything)
If GH can get a better coach in for next year he will almost definitely do it- Powell or Robinson preferably. If he can't find someone with enough pedigree then Mac will probably get another year to turn it around

| Brian McDermott's Leeds are currently on a run of eight successive away defeats in all comps - the only other time this has happened to Leeds since the re-introduction of two divisions (1973/74) was under Doug Laughton 1991/92 to 1992/93 - the sequence started with the Offiah 10 try game at Central Park although the biggest cheer was reserved for the Paul Dixon effort, pity most of them were delivered ironically.
Since the return of divisional RL Leeds have never lost nine straight away from Headingley. Next game is away at the Halliwell Jones where - when facing Warrington - Leeds have lost on their last five visits, although they did record a win last time at the ground in the Challenge Cup Semi Final V St Helens.

| Its getting to the point where the aim should be all about survival. That means there should be no picking of semi-fit players. IMO a review of this season would suggest that this was and is a stupid tactic. I'd also suggest any serious review really needs to ask what on earth our fitness and conditioning guys have been doing.

Its all because of the floods - can't function without Kirkstall!! the fact other teams can function with significantly inferior facilities should not be considered. We are Leeds and we must have Kirkstall.

Well there has been a new addition to our fitness and conditioning staff, Mr Ian Kirke.

| as soon as the sack the board chants start up, Mcdermott will be gone. Theyre both equally culpable for this shambolic season. Hetherington made no succession plans aside form 'the kids will come through' when it was obvious we needed at least one top quality organising half back and in reality two (McGuires injuries shouldnt have come as a surprise given his age) and he should have fought tooth and nail to hang on to Aiton but was too cheap. The pack is far too lightweight and we can't build a platform. These problems have been exacerbated by McDermotts childish and petty grudges. I know for a fact he dropped Sinfield last year as a punishment for leaving for RU as he had a previous assurance that hed play on til end of 2016. He also fell out with McGuire last year. Those divisions have opened up and hes lost the dressing room. A new coach would lift morale just by not being Brian McDermott. If we leave the status quo theres a very real possibility we will go down. This is the worst leeds side in living memory

Never really thought about it, but you have a point there.

| The injuries have played a larger part than the coachs choices, or lack thereof. However with BmD you never know what he will do next.
Normally leaves a man to warm the bench for 75-80mins but last time put a sub on with 30 seconds of the half left, Seems to have a selection of players that get dropped for no reason yet have knackered players play full games.
We have also been unlucky that the injuries have been long ones and over lapping, especially with players that can often make a difference to the team.
If we aren't trying to sign Clarke from the Wolves and looking at releasing Achurch and Delaney and finding a set place in the 17 for Sutty/Lilley that's another issue to look into as well.

Seen a few people complain about Hallas being subbed on with only a minute of the half left but it was because he came on for the injured Mullally.

| Didn't have an issue with Hallas coming on for the final minute just feared at the time he wouldn't then start the 2nd half. He did though so no problem at all there, looked like Rob Burrow on Popeye's diet.

| Quote: Sal Paradise "I can neither confirm or deny that and neither can you. It would be very strange situation if the head coach had no input into first team player recruitment. GH may do the deal once the targeted players have been agreed.
So I would suggest the coach cannot escape blame for the abysmal attempts at replacing those key players'"
I would suggest that without the knowledge you admit you do not have it is just negative speculation to suggest blame.
