| If we cut out the unforced errors & treat Hull with respect we should win this easily.
But carry on after half time as we have been then Hull will come back into this.

agreed but to be expected i think - first choice half backs missing/out of position and now no zak at full back

Sinfield to hooker? I don't see why playing him at hooker is too much of a problem, he can still move in to first or 2nd receiver on the last. Anyway, some of the kicks, and last tackle plays from Sinfield were equally mediocre.
The fact is, hooker is such an important position. You need quality there, and Sinfield is the only fit player in the squad who can provide that quality. Burrow can't do it for 80 minutes, and Robbie Ward looks way off the required standard at the moment.

| Leeds played very loose and in many respects badly. But I never thought they would beat us. Must be depressing supporting Hull.
Everyone was guilty of some loose off-loads but Ward's, given the position we were in on the field, the tempo of the game, had me screaming. It was never on an just brought Hull back into the game.
On the positives I thought Garbutt was a monster and Singleton played very well. Whilst at full back Hardaker was class. I'm not going to count the dropped bomb against Ash Golding as a negative because I agree with Carney, those kicks were immense. That mistake aside Golding was very good doing forward I thought.
Another step closer to top or top two, key players rested and it appears no injuries to key players. Whilst frustrating to watch can't be unhappy with that outcome.
PS, I've heard rumours of Westerman to us on here and elsewhere in the past . Unless he is just saving up hos worst displays for us I desperately hope it isn't true. Shell of a player who just looks lazy and error ridden.

| If Sinfield isn't quick enough to play in the halves, I dread to think what that makes Jordan Abdull who got embarrassingly burned for pace for that last try.
When we went direct and ran straight into the guts of that Hull side, we were chewing up the ground. For some reason we kept going away from it though and trying to throw the ball around.
Last tackle options were poor at times, but that's a consequence of having your best kicker of a ball trapped in at dummy half. Hence it would have been nice to see a bit more of Robbie Ward to enable Sinfield to take control of the kicking game.
All in all though, mission accomplished.

| Garbutt was MOM IMO, he did the full 80, didn't he? He looks a superb signing so far. I also thought Singleton, and Walters worked hard. Especially in his first stint, and Achurch looked OK, so it'll be interesting to see if he did enough to get picked for the final next week.
Golding looked sharp when he came on, although I'm still not sure if full back will be where he ends up.
Robbie Ward got caught at marker on his first touch, and seemed to go into his shell, I'd be very surprised if we see much of him in a Leeds shirt again. He's OOC isn't he.

| Given the circumstances i think it was a very good win and kudos to the Coach for getting his selections right imo.
Personally i would have rested Zak and Sinfield purely through fear of injury but it would have been too many Garbutt was immense as was Stevie Ward (G1's Coronary aside).
The Cod Eads did ST's on their own patch last week so were undoubtedly up for this but we did the job and we've secured a top 4 spot already onward and upward great stuff.
