Ablett made the mistake of turning the top of his body side on as he made the fend and Shaul was able to wrap both arms around Ablett's arms and as they went down he got underneath so he was unable to ground the ball. You are right, Ablett should have kept square on to the line with the aim of diving over. But very good work from Shaul non the less.
