| Quote: Gotcha "Just to be sure here, and again I am not saying that the final outcome couldn't be that. But you said originally, just had word. Now you are talking about he told someone in TGI's yesterday, which I don't want to sound funny, but I also saw that post on facebook yesterday, which kept changing as the night went on, from a protective boot to an actual pot. The original poster of it, it would seem, was actually posting their own opinion rather than fact.'"
This isn't anything to do with Facebook, this is genuine speech, I wouldn't post it if I didn't have 100% faith in what I was being told from two different people, what would I have to gain? I don't post having claimed to have spoken to GH every week like a dozen people on here which then turns out to be bull and it's not like I'd want him to be out for do long we need him!
Also the article in YEP was from an interview yesterday morning, I'd assume that's before any detailed examination had taken place.
Look at 'Burrow going to cas on loan' I said then that was 100% never going to happen and to this day I'm still right.
If it's wrong it's wrong and I'll be as happy as anyone, but never the less it's from his own mouth, time will tell.

That's fair enough. I was just checking as the person on facebook said the same thing, then turned out he didn't know at all.
However, Hardaker is going for a scan today.

Yeah I definitely wouldn't quote Facebook aha. Here's to hoping the scan comes out good and if he is off for 10 week he used the time well rather than getting himself in bother

| You also have to form your game plan around the players you have available. Leeds have a slow pack, and do we have the players in the forwards that regularly win the collusion and get a quick PTB? Delaney, JP, and Ablett are incredibly slow at playing the ball, for example. So that may explain the lack of width, you simply can't get the ball wide if your halves aren't being given time to do so.

| Watching the game for the first half hour, then having to stop, I was surprised that you went into halftime behind.
For me, it was your last tackle options that were your undoing. Leeds went upfield quite comfortably, but the persistent bomb, was ineffective. This, eventually, became flinging the ball about with wild abandon, with Wigan picking off the inevitable errors.

Totally agree.
Do we use a slighly different shaped ball in the SL compared to the NRL?
I ask that because over there you regularly see on the last tackle kickers kicking hard & low to get defenders to turn & have to try to pick up the low driven ball.
We never or hardly ever see that over here even though it can be very effective.

Total BS.
Wigan were the better team for sure but to suggest Leeds didn't want it is just playground talk. Just put your hands up and say they were better.

Doesn't Leeds being Dire = Worse than Wigan = Wigan being better?

| Wigan were better from half an hour onwards and they showed more desperation/desire whatever way you want to describe it.
Once again we looked rudderless when the opposition put us under pressure in our own half and the "Leadership circle" failed to adapt.
The CC "excuse" wont wash this year and once again we saw our older/key players looking knackered very early into the second half still top is the only positive in recent weeks but the performances need addressing asap.

| given the remaining games I will be astounded if we don't finish top. the top 8's, however, are a different animal. should the coach continue to flog the forwards and have such a terrible replacement attitude we may struggle to finish top 4

Top spot after 23 games pretty much depends on the result of the Saints game at Headingley imo. After that thier is an unknown because of how the fixtures differentiate between finishing positions. Finish first and we get 7th and 8th away from home. As away fixtures go, not the trickiest we could face.

| If we go in to the 8s top then I think we will qualify for the playoffs.
The likes of saints and Wigan might be a different beast but there will still be some pretty average sides in there. Winning the games against 7 and 8 who aren't likely to be great sides would mean if we won 2 of a likely wire, wigan' saints' hudds' les Catalans would mean 5th could only gain a maximum of 6 points on us during the 8s. And that's on the basis they win every single game.

| I thought Leeds were absolutely brilliant in the first 20 minutes on Saturday and would have blown most teams away. On that basis you are certs for top 3 and must be favourites for first place.
I would have thought that you would want to avoid coming second as that could mean playing Wigan or Saints in the semi. Playing the fourth place team at home this year is a genuine advantage.
Each of Wigan, Saints and Leeds have the potential to win it so it makes sense this year to aim for the LLS. In doing that you might just knacker your older players - which could be quite a problem for each of the coaches.
Whoever wins SL might just be the last team standing after 30 rounds plus a cup run (maybe Wigan have inadvertently improved their chances by getting knocked out of the cup early - we shall see).
