Is that what Mick Potter entitled his dossier to the RFL concerning referee Ian Smith's performance at New Craven Park?

I note that this week Mr Smith has been given Barrow V Featherstone Rovers with Gareth Hewer taking a SL game in his place.

It was quite a comprehensive destruction of Smith's performance apparently. He won't be refereeing St Helens matches for some time. Much like when he was banned from our games after Daniel Anderson threatened to refuse to let his players take the field if Smith was in charge.

If this turns out to be the case the RFL shouldn't allow themselves to be dictated to in this way ...... yet again.



The RFL should have called that particular bluff (if it existed) at the earliest opportunity, instead of waiting for Anderson to leave and then give Smith St Helens' Round 1 fixture V Warrington at Knowsley Road the following season. Hardly subtle that one.

Speaking of which Ian Smith is a RFL favourite normally for that particular match up having appointed him in '02, '03, '04, '05 (x2), '06 and '09 in the Regular Rounds. This year you've got Silverwood, the RFL's go to man when they want to 'fix' a complaint.

Sport has its up and downs, success comes and goes, nobody can win forever and remain undefeated indefinitely! Pokerface - You are evidently one of those supporters who never questions what the club does. They can do no wrong for you and anyone who dare make a stand is treated in a grossly discourteous manner by you. That is clearly an issue on your part and you need to chill out and lose the obsession. The results are not good enough at the moment and I as someone who puts funds into the club have a right to my say. You called me numpty, stupid and a mug. That's aggressive in my book and you need to be more polite to me in future especially as It's not me who looks stupid here.

just a case in point, Smith was given the trip to Perpignan last weekend, so wasn't dropped after the dossier was given, and as much as I like to bag referees, he had a very good game.
