| Craig Wing is not a centre - he was used there in an emergency by Oz. He's probably best at hooker or loose forward - neither position Leeds are particularly short in.

He will be a wolves player in 2010, however the deal wont be announced until Leeds 2009 season is effectively over ie, if they make the GF it will be announced sometime after the GF.
I dont know the exact details of the deal but it has been struck

Leeds are using emergency centres!!
Not saying wing would be a great signing but lets face it the squads thin sound like he could be available now and he covers posistions, ok leeds have 2 hookers, he can cover sinfield, burrow & Mcguire, while having international experiance at centre, seem to remember he has a bit of pace and while im not as sad as to google players weights & Measures bet he is as big as smith (a practically untried centre, let alone an aussie international), the money is there, the place on the quota is there or are leeds happy with ablett coming of the bench to cover centre or loose forward & moving sinfield to the halves, i know who i'd rather see warming up!!

| 'Emergency centres' in what way? Senior is still the best English centre. So that leaves 'emergency centre' singular. Between them I'd suggest Smith, Gibson amd Watkins aren't considered an 'emergency' by the club at all. Leed's poor form has everything to do with the pack not getting a roll on and our playmakers being hopelessly out of sorts rather than lack of a centre.
If you want a pie in the sky signing I'd suggest Leeds could really do with an impact forward - Hock at Wigan is the best in SL IMO, but since this is fantasy land you could also add Willie Mason or (actually far less unlikely) Mark O'Meley.

Think your reading me wrong mate,
Wing could be available now thats all im saying, and would add strength & depth, would much prefer the others you mentioned, id settle for perry mason in the pack right now let alone willie!. As for pie in the sky, signings like that were once the norm!!

How tvoc?
Not that I am saying we should sign him. But to me any signing should be an improvement on what you have. Wing is undoubtedly an improvement on what we have. Therefore not so much nonsense.
Whether we require him is debatable, and IMO we don't. But still an improvement.

You say he would be an improvement. On who? Then you go on to say new signings should be an improvement. Then you go on to say that despite him being an improvement, which is your criteria for a signing, we don't need him.
Do you practice at being this obtuse or does it come naturally?

There is nothing obtuse about it.
What is pressing for recruitment? Does Wing fill any of those needs? IMO no he doesn't, therefore not required.
However, as a half back he is better than what we have. Therefore an improvement. Even as a centre he is better than what we have, therefore an improvement. On that basis it would not be a nonsense signing would it?
Unless the nonsense is backed up with a statement regarding what is seen most pressing.
Comprende?

| AS I've said previously and I'll say it again at present we are below the salary cap, probably by a huge amount. But Eastwood is still supposed to be coming over for next season, there are also several players out of contract at the end of the season who the club need to negotiate with.
Until the club has a clear view on the outcome of Eastwoods arrival and these negotiations then the club will no saign a big name player because next years salary cap will be tighter than this years by at least one player. If the club knows Eastwood is not coming or have decided they don't want him then they are in a position to bring someone over and could bring them over early.
Does anyone know with certainty the situation with Eastwood and the negotiations with out of contract players? I doubt it, although the club may. Anything else is idle speculation on the basis that the club have a large ca space for 2009 which they may or may not have in 2010.

Comprende?'" Yes, so taking all the above into account, taking into account that you think he's a better half back than we have and a better centre than we have why did you conclude your previous post that it was debate-able whether we require him?
