| Definitely felt like a game lost rather than a game Castleford won. All that possession and position and not a clue what to do with it.
Child was crap, but that's par for the course with some shockers for both teams. Leeds have no one to blame but themselves.

| We are one of the rabble teams now. Cas did their usual trick of bending over last week in preparation for the cup final. No doubt they'll be stocking up on lube for the trip to Catalans.
- Leeds last tackle plays are terrible. No organisation. It's either blindly passed along the line hoping for something to materialize or it's a game of pass the parcel to see who can do a kick which puts the opposition under no pressure.
- Leeds have no control whatsoever at the play the ball. Teams are running amock and making ground easily. Not once this season has the team been able to exert any of that control during a game where they restrict a team to kicking from inside their own 40, repeatedly, while the pressure squeezes them into mistakes and concentration lapses. Teams are consistently kicking the 5th deep inside our own half which is resulting in difficult kicks to defend and repeat sets. It's causing lots of penalties, how often are we seeing an opposition tackler hitting the ground with a lone defender clinging onto his legs. Then from that it's either a lightning quick play the ball which canes us on the next play or a penalty. Either we way our defence is blasted.
- Close to the line the team simply passes it along the line and hopes for something to materialise. That's it. Sometimes one of the forwards get's an offload away on one of the short barge plays which can create a fractured defence for us to exploit, but even then the resultant play is often defended.
This season is rapidly running away from us. We are simply off the pace, the form isn't on any kind of upward trend. Arguably our best performance was round 1. Our worst arguably our first win. It's all over the place. We will need to start a significant winning run, fairly soon to have any hope of clawing back the ground.

| Ablett, acting like a knob instead of playing the ball on their try line didn't help, that could have killed the game off, but no, let's blame the ref instead.. who i thought was poor for both sides, possibly helped Leeds more than he did Cas.

| McDemott looks like a dead man walking, sorry to break it to some of you but McGuire ain't the Messiah. 2 losses from the next 2 games wouldn't be a surprise and would leave our season in tatters.

| Agree, we are utterly clueless in attac and have been all season.. Sutcliffe dies with the ball far too often. He's still young and i would not right him off yet but he needs to improve a hell of a lot in the creativity department. He made some important tackles and is showing potential as a goalkicker but we need more. Burrow has never been an organiser and creates little. Watkins pass to Briscoe at the end of the 1st half with the line open was embarrassing from an international centre.
There is plenty of effort but no finesse.
Was told at the game that Ablett is going 8n for an op and will be missing for a few weeks. Bad news if true, one of our better players

Very well put. Gh voted for marquee player. We desperately need a proper half back

You mean the one where Ablett decided to tackle Webster and cleaned him out without the ball?

| We desperately need a proper coach rather than a `lets see how hard you can take it coach that we have at the moment. That man could still be BMD, if he can get our forwards and halves firing..

| Quote: Big Jim Slade "Every match I've watched this season I've felt like we've had the rough end of the stick when it comes to reffing the ruck. Twice tonight a Cas player lost the ball cold and they were given a penalty. Not only should we have had a penalty at the back end of the Sutcliffe break but Gale (?) should have been sinbinned, and on both of our knock ons inside their ten the entire Cas line was offside, but Childs didn't want to know - of course he was more interested when it was at our defensive end.
Going back further in the season the amount of laying on in the ruck has been absolutely appalling. Naturally Wigan were the worst for it, but in just about every game it's been a case of the referee waiting for them to clear rather than demanding that they do, and as a result our game has suffered.
Don't get me wrong, we've got issues, and there's every chance Cas would have won without the lopsided refereeing, but I'm getting pretty sick of watching a game and wondering if at any point the opposition is going to be penalised for relentlessly slowing us down.'"
Lopsided refereeing? Zac knocks on to prevent Gale scoring and then Leeds go to the other end and score. Just before Websters winning score Child disallows Mcshanes try for a forward pass when replays showed it was clearly ok.

As a positive, Falloon, Mullaley, JJB, Hardaker, and despite the brain fart brain Ablett, all had good games.'"
I do not know how you can suggest Hardaker as a positive. He made one very good try saving tackle, but really you would have been disappointed had he missed it as it is what you expect from your FB. That he was better than his poor showing last week does not hide his several negative moments: his dropped bomb (led to their match winning score) and his missed tackle led to their second score. His kicking was hopeless and his habit of dying with the ball and poor reading of the game and lack of creative skill is becoming a big problem from the holder of one of the main attacking positions. Then there was his wild long pass that Watkins had to stop and jump for and it was only KW's quick off load and Walter's good pass that made the try. How many tackle busts? how many clean breaks did he make?
Ablett was better than last week too but the knock on near the end with a score in sight, the silly pushing with McShane which cost us possession close to their line, and he made it hard for Watkins to score by not drawing the FB and passing too early. So another copy book blotted performance.

Regarding the ablett push it was silly and while I don't blame ref for the loss I think we were hard done to there the play before was clear holding down boardering on professional foul.

For the walking try he took the wrong option. The defender had committed to Watkins, if he'd have gone himself he'd have been under the posts and we'd have been 2points better off
