| A game too far but a great effort from the lads! They've earned a decent rest now.

| Great effort ,cant help thinking "what if" after the chances we bombed in the 1st half.
2nd half the last 13 days caught up with us but again Hurrell shooting out of the line ( he does it every week) & how Mellor/Gale got exposed cheaply proved crucial on an otherwise excellent defensive effort.
The signs are there that we potentially have a good squad to build on.
Going forward i wouldn't keep Hurrell or Briscoe ,id definately be talking go Martin who has improved 100% over the last 4 games.

| Anyone know what happened to King. I’m sure he didn’t come back on in the 2nd half? Didn’t see him get injured or go off with a HIA?

| 1st half very good again. Second faded off. We had nothing left in the tank. That said their no1 morge? Is going to be class.
Thought the gale missed try was crucial. Last 10 mins had it been 1 score down I think we win.
Recon we can compete with anyone when tested. Holroyd prior tetevano king and in particular mik oledski is a formidable pack. Exciting times ahead

| Yeh, shame we couldn't post another 8-10 points in the first half.
That would have made it much more difficult for Cats.
We were gassed after 50 mins and they capitalised.
But tbf, they've been blowing teams away and beating the top teams, so I'll take that with the workload we've had lately.
Thought Martin, Sutcliffe, Holroyd and L Briscoe were excellent.
Sutcliffe offers plenty in the centre. I could see him getting the number 4 shirt next year if we release Hurrell (which is likely).
King runs hard, but he's not fit. I think that's why he didn't come back on. If he can get fitter he's a threat.
If we get Sezer, a winger and retain Prior, that would be really good business going into next year.

| In the round another good effort and Leeds look a far better side now than when Agar took over.
We need to be realistic too. Gale, Myler, Sutcliffe, Mellor, Hurrell, Smith, King have all had injuries/suspension in recent weeks and not played the games that Prior & Leeming have. No real excuse for tiredness from a good number of players and Cats have the travel.
I guess it is fair to say we haven’t had much/any training and prep as a team though, and this year has been all over the place squad-wise.
I would have rested more in preparation for the return trip but it is what it is.
For next year I am excited and confident about the youth. We have to get a 6 sorted obvs.

| Also I have to say I’m happier with Mellor this season. Loved him getting stuck into Sam Tomkins.

Agree with most of that, but just don't see it with regard to Sutcliffe. If he doesn't have to think about it he's good, but his timing of and delivery of passes is pretty poor. He remains, frustratingly, Jack of all trades but master of none. Think both Newman and Broadbent will replace him in the centre when they are fit. That said, his utility value is such that he will always be there or there abouts.

| Hurrell once again rocks and diamonds but too inconsistent which is a real shame and the reason he is here and not in the NRL.
Gale not very good and someone like Ryan Hall would have scored at least one of the tries that Tom Briscoe didn`t.
I agree wrt Sutcliffe he`s a good squad player too slow at FB and average at centre.
Passes the ball when he shouldn`t and doesn`t pass it when he should.
Thought Thompson went well first 20 but was it my imagination he didn`t come back on which seems odd.
Maloney made the difference in the backs and Kasiano in the forwards.

Yeh perhaps he’ll put the faith in Broadbent and him and Newman will be first choice.
But Sutcliffe has definitely shown over last few weeks that his utility value is very useful.
Especially with us being as injury prone as we are at the moment.
Good to see Cam Smith back last night as well.

| Holroyd has come back from injury and looks a great prospect but last night looked tired and off the pace.
Been a great few weeks from everyone in the squad who have played, very impressed with Lui holding his hand up when clearly nowhere near fit and to play so many games in such a short space of time has been a credit. Things just caught up with us last night but nobody should complain because the effort was clearly there to see. Well done lads you deserve a huge pat on the back.

| Just a game too far for us. Looked leggy for first 10/15, seemed to spark up a bit, bombed a few tries and were anonymous in the second as the catalans worked and ground their way back in.
Be interesting when we have a rest and go after them this week.
