Wilkin has certainly got under the skin of a lot of posters here.

| I think this is all a storm in a tea-cup really, but my real concern is, given today's England squad announcement, how is this going to be resolved to prevent another situation with Saints and Leeds players apparently not getting on with each other in England camp? I hope that this isnt going to disrupt squad harmony, because if it does we can forget any chance of success in the Four Nations tournament. We need a happy squad, and this is hardly a great start!

| To be fair, after the game I thought the two sets of players seemed to be the most friendly that I had seen with each other. If bails was a poor winner then wilkin takes the award for the worst loser. Bit like senior after the WCC wilkin would have been better advised to keep it shut. It just looks a bit pathetic of him IMO

| Interesting a few have applauded bailey as a classic wind up merchant...not sure you can call him that as he doesn't even know he is being successful at it, he is just behaving like an idiot.
Agreed Wilkin chose a bad time to express his thoughts, but agree with sentiment.
As an aside, congratulations to leeds on being champions....again!

| Bailey usually acts like a drunken fan in these type of situations. I've no idea why, he just does. For me that's a pity and a stain on our proud club and it's ethos of respect but what can you do other than attempt to apologise on behalf of all the fans who find it somewhat classless.
In my book when an opposition player loses possession or is driven in to touch you congratulate your team-mates not goad the opposition. At the final whistle you congratulate your team-mates, then commiserate with the opposition, then (if you're that way inclined) play to the crowd.
_________
Another thought. When are the RFL going to investigate the number of players Leeds had on the pitch prior to the referee's final whistle? I counted 17 and I have a feeling that's too many.
The four Leeds players not 'officially' allowed on the field prior to the conversion attempt were Clarkson, Delaney, Leuluai and Bailey.

| If he stays on the right side of the laws and the coach I don't think he should give a stuff what a bunch of prudes think.
He's there to crack skulls and take names. That he plays to the mob is just another facet to his on pitch persona.
Off the pitch I have always found him polite, considered and worth talking to.

Nah. Getting under the opposition's skin is awesome. They come looking for you. I much prefer my forwards running at me trying to splatter me than running good angles off my shoulders. Give me a rage filled direct forward to tackle over someone crashing onto a flat pass on the angle anytime. Much easier to defend against. And if they come in high or late on me then they give points away.

| I can relate to that theory but then you have a game like week one of the Play-Offs at the Galpharm where Huddersfield were sound asleep (possibly comotosed) until Bailey gave them a dose of the smelling salts.
I guess I just don't like to see goading in the game, B-J Mather did it once but he learnt the hard way that it can sometimes be a risky strategy.

Don't think so, but I loved the way he did the classic 'Don't hold me back' even though if Radford's path hadn't been blocked he'd have destroyed him.
