| Agreed, it's usually the second half when you feel it if you get the bench wrong, not the first half.

| Someone in the Leeds/Wite thread said he could potentially be the best ref if he corrected some errors. No he couldn't, his appointments to the odd big game (strangely nearly always this one) shows it up to be the token gesture it is.

| Quote: ThePrinter "If Oledzki or Baldwinson were on the bench how would that 1st half turn out different considering they wouldn't have been introduced until at least 30 mins (if at all?). They might be promising youngsters but they can't walk on water and turn the whole momentum by themselves around FFS.'"
Would have meant we could interchange our props earlier to try get a better grip on the game, could also have swapped a prop for one of our back rowers

You'd just be flogging other guys though? You can rotate 3 props, after 1 minute we wouldn't have no back towers if we went with Baldwinson or Oledzki who are props.
I'm disappointed with the first half but you can't put that down to a bench who would've hardly (if at all) played.

| Plus the fact is Westy deserved a Red card and that second try should never have been given.
We are hamstringing ourselves in a game where the ref is doing his usual rubbish against a Warrington team that is desperate and clearly going to try rough us up.
I know this will descend into a BMD bash but that's not my intent, I think any coach that takes a light bench is asking for trouble. taking a light bench when missing forwards and playing a big team desperate for points was silly.

| it was me, and i stand by it.
Quote: SmokeyTA "Child would be the best ref in SL if he could get out of his own way. He does well for most of a game but always seems to make a huge mistake and then feel the need to prove himself by compounding it with a series of decisions against that side. Every time I watch him I always feel he has had far too much of an effect on the game. Even if it's just a 5-10minute spell'"
I think he has done the same tonight. Usually he at least gets some time under his belt, unfortunately he got a minute before he needed his hand holding and has since gone to pot. I maintain that it isnt a skill problem, its a mental problem. He is far too affected by his decisions and seems like he has far too much to prove. Ganson was the same.
Thaler for instance might make a clanger but its over and done with.

| Briscoe should be shot. He's had a hand in all three tries.

I have already said I was talking about later in the game when fatigue sets in and you start seeing silly mistakes/missed tackles and players to knackered to keep anything up other than one man up. Then you get strain injuries.
Then you start to see trys coming from allover.
No bench would make a differnce in the first thirty,it's the last 25-30.

| You can't deny we are badly losing the forward battle. even ignoring the score given the silliness of those given. No chance at all that has to do with a light pack vs big pack?
