Ablett for me is one of the best players of that era, despite his career fizzling out with injury. Always showed up in big games and was extremely consistent. How come he's never included in the talk about the golden generation?

He was the glue along with JJB that held things together but also had a fair bit of skill , plus we all remember him running over Lee Briers in the G.F

One of my favourite moments of a grand final!
Was that the same game that Bailey was having a bit of push and shove with most their team on the halfway line whilst we made a break down the wing?

Warrington had broken away from their line, we were busted wide open and I just remember Ratchford(?) looking left to pass the ball out automatically expecting a player (if not x2 on an overlap) there and a look of utter shock as the players in question were in a shoving match with Bailey 40 meters back behind play.
Ive never laughed so hard.

| At least itās the club colours this time. I donāt know why they thought it was a good idea to play in a Leeds Utd shirt this season.

Theyāve had a few deviations away from the traditional blue and amber colours. Iām like you Tad, I follow the rhinos and Leeds Utd, and itās blue and amber for the Rhinos and all white for Utd in my book. I used to love the Leeds RL away shirt back in the day that was all white with a blue and amber band, very classy, but ultimately a change strip. I know itās all about income nowadays and to hell with heritage and history, but it pains me when I see us out of our traditional colours. Next season Iāll feel a lot better when they run out in that kit, preferably doing it justice.

| I agree with the association of Rhinos in blue and amber.
But for me the kit is so dreary and outdated.
We complain that the game doesn`t move on and we need to improve the image.
Then we revert to a strip that was used "back in the day"
I know it`s about how we perform on the pitch but we need to step into the now or future rather than the past when promoting the product.

If āstepping into the futureā is Leeds Rhinos wearing a kit similar to that I played Sunday League football in back in the 80ās then itās not for me. If the likes of Liverpool and Man Utd can sell millions of shirts across the world every season that are a slight twist on the traditional kit and still with the original colours I donāt see why itās so difficult for us to create an appealing kit design in blue and amber every 12 months. A massive part of the appeal of clubs like Liverpool and Man Utd is the history and tradition, and that is first and foremost represented in the kits that are easily recognised. Our home kit this year looked like something youād get from Seacroft Market back in the day. Cheap, tacky and not even our primary club colours.

| The only real issue i have with the new shirt is that it is just a lazy exact copy of the 2005 shirt except poorer quality.
If it was a āheritage or retro ā shirt then fine.
As noted above it really wouldnāt be that difficult to come up with a new design every year but keep the actual core brand and primary colours of the Rhinos.
In fact most sports clubs manage it, including some SL clubs like Saints, Hull FC and Wigan.

Spot on.
Stick with the Blue/Amber but jazz it up a bit.
