During a difficult period for the club I think it would be hard to argue he hasn't given everything every time he's played despite being asked to play various different roles. Talented player, great heart and defence and obviously aspires to more than being a utility player. Hard to see what more he could have done and like someone said in a previous comment, putting Briscoe into the centre ahead of him but have been a bitter pill to swallow. Doubt it was the final nail in the coffin for him as I expect he was already looking for regular first team action but I suspect it validated his decision for him. Hope he goes really well for Cas, deserves to be playing regular rugby

He’s injured ATM isn’t he? so i doubt Briscoe playing at centre had anything to do with it.

Rumour of Bentley coming in the emergence of Gannon and Walters Martin may still get a new deal Newman nearly back his options for first team rugby would have been limited.As i said earlier a 4 year deal its a no brainer for him.

That is odd. You’d think we’d need everyone at the moment with plenty more rugby to go this year and Mellor and (possibly) Sutcliffe out long term. Will probably get more injuries too. Shame his Leeds career has petered out this way.

Aye. Bit like Keinhorst did. Solid, workhorse like, rarely did anything wrong, 6/7 out of 10 every week. Gets injured, never seen again.

Not sure about falling out of favour more like he's plays where we have plenty of cover. Agar did say he wanted to keep him but understood why he would want to move. Age 22 you need to be playing each week. We couldn't offer that.
