Surely Newman and Briscoe have earned the right to go again?

Sutcliffe went off injured so I doubt he’ll be playing on Saturday.

You’d like to think so wouldn’t you mate, but we all know it won’t be the case unfortunately.

Well we don’t do we, id be rather shocked if Newman and Briscoe don’t keep their places.

But yeah let’s just have a go at the club regardless of knowing the squad.

Well, I hope you’re right. How many times have we seen Sutcliffe get picked regardless of his form? Must have something in his contract that he has to play if fit. I guess we’ll soon see.

He was picked a lot because at one time he was our goal kcker. Last season at times we were very light in the second row especially before Martin was signed.

I think when all of our back row is fit we have should have Mellor and Martin starting second row and Smith at 13 and Ward coming off the bench to possibly reduce the chance of Ward getting injured if he was playing 40-50 mins a match he and reduced the amount of Carries and tackles he has to make he might hold up with the injuries. Even if he started I'd have Mellor on the bench and after about 20-25 mins introduce Mellor from bench I can't see Ward lasting in the game much longer if he continues his current injury record which we all know the club have to try and come up with a way to try and keep him fit for majority of season he can be a class act when fit but think in Mellor, Martin, Smith, L.Sutcliffe, Donaldson and A.Sutcliffe we have plenty cover in back row so if Ward can't stay fit he has to think about his health and so does the club.

Think this will be a decent test. This weekend all 4 teams won that did not play last week.

Hope ward is OK to play, he will add plenty. If Martin is also back I’d drop them both into second row and leave the rest unchanged.
