i am sure if he does go well at Cas its as much to do with at Leeds he has had Mcguire, Burow, moon, Sutcliffe, lilley all in front of him. next year he would have Myler moon, lilley, Sutcliffe and walker or Golding as back up halves at a push, at cas he will have Gale, Ellis, as first choice (roberts is going to full back)and then that other young Kid (name escapes me) so he his probable 3-4 out of four rather than 5-6 choice out of 6 at leeds. its probably a no brainer for him closer to first team rugby at Cas than leeds. plus leeds will have Burrow in coaching set up next year a much better player than Orr or Sheridan ever where and a highly rated coaching prospect.'" Just to burst that urban myth that Leeds paid Sheffield a load of money as a favour from GH, his contract like all Sheffield players at the end of 2015 was effectively ripped up by the club, so the grand sum of naff all was paid.

Brian McDermott did pluck him from the lower leagues though and gave him his break at Quins. Cas fans should be thanking McDermott |

The 2014 season was still ongoing and Bradford a SL team when Gale signed, trying to make out you got him from the Championship is exaggerated BS  |

I think that Luke Gale is a great SL player but i'm still waiting to see his first commanding display in a big game,he is sadly still way down the pecking order whilst compared to players like Danny McGuire,Rob Burrow & Sean Long etc who have been able to lift their game above the normal weekly SL rounds when needed.
Gale didn't really do much whilst playing for England in the WC despite being MOS,so atm Gale will only be remembered as a very talented SL player who unfortunately couldn't raise his game when he stepped up a level
