Looks like we're going to try and smash the lightweight Wigan pack up the middle...

We tried that at Magic Weekend, and failed miserably. That was exactly a week after Wigan got hammered at Catalans, by a team who took the ball wide at every opportunity. Trying to take Wigan on down the middle is a recipe for defeat.

Not sure the squad selection is an indicator of how we'll play with all the forwards....more a case of who we have left fit and not suspended.

Leeds have been the best team this year and are deservedly top. I would have thought that a win at Wigan would give you just enough leeway to be able to coast through the next few weeks around the Challenge Cup semi and still have points in hand.

I'm expecting a strong Leeds team and a pretty easy win too, given how poor our forwards have been. I disagree with the above posters, the way to beat Wigan is to smash them up the middle. O'Loughlin may play, but he isn't really fit. Without him we have nothing in the middle to trouble Leeds.

Leeds have recruited well with Cuthbertson and Garbutt, whereas all of our props, apart from Tony Clubb, have been pretty poor.

You know deep down it's impossible to predict Wigan v Leeds thesedays.

Interesting that Mulhern and Yates have both been named in our 19 man squad, especially when they are both down to play for Hunslet tomorrow as well.

My order of preference for last spot in the 17 would be Mulhern, Yates, then Walters, but it looks like Walters will get the nod looking at the Hunslet squad for Wednesday. I think Leeds will lose this one, given Hardaker was best Leeds player in magic weekend macth and Keinhorst has been doing ok in 2nd row. Hardaker's "spear tackle" should've been sin bin sufficient IMO.
