All happened so quick in a tight area of the pitch.it was an unfortunate collision for mine, with no intent but as you say,if the rules imply this is not acceptable then what can you do? always looks a hell of a lot worse too in slow motion too.
Its rugby league guys, collisons like this happen from time its inevitable.

A little bitter, but quite true though pal.would you fancy you're chances against us in the play offs with that team against us with a full side?
Time will tell, but I still think we have a real shot from anywhere whereas I wouldnt fancy you're lot even from top.

I could see saints making the grand final on the weight of home advantage, but once there i would only see yet another defeat, regardless of who they play.

Leeds or wigan will win the GF imo.
Im hoping for a leeds v wigan final and us to win it for once in my lifetime!
All the other 4 teams are capable of making the final but none are good enough,or have the pedigree to see it through.

That would be the sensible decison, but this is the RFL so probably a 5 game ban.

| Just watched it back and for me the Saints player came on Moons blind side and he was bringing his arm round to effect the tackle whilst being tackled by Bailey, unfortunately he hit Moons shoulder but there was no intent from Moon. There was more intent with the very late tackle from Soliola on Aiton he could clearly have pulled out of the tackle but didn't and should have spent 10 minutes on the bench

Watch again you clown, Moon keeps his arm at his side and hit Percival in his face with his shoulder

| At first I thought Moon was unlucky but the angle from the touchline showed he didn't raise his left arm which by the rules is a shoulder charge making contact with the head=Red Card.
Its a shame because Bailey had put a cracking tackle in and Percival was going nowhere.
Onto the game both teams deserve praise for slogging it out for the full 80 and you can't ask for anymore from our lads given the week we've had and playing over an hour with 12 men.
Unfortunately as with Thursday it's overshadowed & we are talking about inept ,inconsistent officials when are they going to be culpable for p!$$ poor performances?
Also Mc had 2 unused subs when down to 12 then tells the post match press conference he "didn't need them"?
Sorry can't agree with that and before anyone wades in with the "how many trophies have you won as coach"? diatribe there were spells in that game when it was blatant fresh legs were needed despite a brilliant effort from those who did play.

| Not disputing the sending off but loads of the Saints fans round me on the WT were screaming for Baileys head at the time including some rather unsavoury racist "banter". They were that sure of what they had seen.

Surely it's the tackler's responsibility to make sure a tackle is as safe as possible. By purely using his shoulder and therefore making direct contact with the attacker's head, surely he hasn't done so.
The rules are clear and 'intent', or lack of in you opinion, is a cop out excuse for a poor tackle that has taken someone out of the game.
