I think I must be the only person who can remember Lee Smith playing well at Ful Back. It's his best position by a mile. With Webb out he should be given a chance in his best position, if he makes a fist of it he should be there next season, if he doesn't then P45 and I will accept I have got it completely wrong.

Just to warn you, we beat Huddersfield on the weekend of the Exiles game last year. Not that I am saying it'll happen again against you like.

Personally, I wouldn't be asking any of those who get game time with England or the Knights to back up.

If that means promoting a number of the Under 20s en masse then so be it. There's more to be gained from that than asking the frankly demoralised looking same old faces to play twice in 48 hours.

Setting aside whether they should have picked or not, only realistic to see Burrow (who's on the bench) and maybe Hall double up for the Wakefield game, though I do half expect Peacock and Sinfield to continue to be flogged like dray horses by their coach.

As for the team selection, it always seems to be the fringe/unestablished that end up being dropped or out of the 17/19.

Smith/BJB/Wellar/Griff/Clarkson/Kirke/Moore?McShane/Pitts etc.

Now none of these are real 'difference makers'.

I don't mind these not being picked after poor performances but I would like to see braver none selection from Mac of the key cogs who aren't peforming. There has to be that integrity from the coach to stamp down who really is in charge.
