Hope Tomkins does go. He still has deficiencies in his game and hopefully week in week out NRL games will highlight them, and day in day out NRL coaching will get rid of them.

As for Webb, still one of the top FB's in the league, but probably the right time to let him go. He seems to have lost that dynamism which made him a constant threat. BJB has earned his chance. But good luck to him.

Not sure I agree with that. On Friday we only looked even remotely threatening when either he or Buderus had the ball in their hands. It was still only remotely threatening, but better than nothing...

maybe. Im not saying he isnt still a good player. Im just saying im not sure we would miss him hugely.

Previously he was a triple threat, a great runner, and fantastic at chiming into the line with the bonus of being able to act as another pivot spreading the ball. I think what we have seen this season (and last too if im honest) is that he is no longer a great runner. He has lost that elusiveness and his skills in spreading the ball are limited.

He is on the downward slope of his career.

BJB deserves his chance. He is a much better runner and much more of a threat from deep. His position and coming into the line as an extra man is coming along and will get better with experience but we will lose the passing of Webb (but as i say, its a limited skill).

With Mcguire coming back, im confident BJB would be able to more than adequately fill in and Webbs undoubted cap space could be better utilised elsewhere.

Heard the same last week. Would be a excellent signing for them if true, Lee Smith/Ben Jones-Bishop are good enough.

I'd be surprised if Sam lasted a full year in the NRL before returning with his ego severly bruised.
