| Quote bewildered="bewildered"Of what Martin Sadler has tweeted it must be true otherwise he is risking a hell of a lot posting something like that. So now we have to ask ourselves, do we welcome Judas back with open arms?'"
I never considered him Judas,he was offered much reduced terms to resign for a team that was in free fall so I don't blame him for signing a much better deal at the Bulls.

| FWIW I never regarded Lowes as a Judas figure.
I was sad to see him go & felt that he was pushed out rather than deserting us.
He certainly paid us back in spades for the Bulls.
If true I think it reflects well on him & GH that they can forgive & forget for what they perceive to be for the good of the Rhinos so why should we as Rhinos not welcome him back?
At least he's a young British coach who seems to have been well regarded wherever he's worked. Not as a head coach but as a capable assistant which is how he'll be employed with us.
Both GH & B McD know him very well so I'm happy to take their judgement over the armchair experts on here & other forums.

But there are ways to go .... When he left Leeds, if he'd have gone and played the 'I never wanted to leave' card and 'it was the board that forced me out' type spin, then the chances are we'd have had rid of the old guard ruining the club far sooner than we did and he'd still been respected as some form of martyr for the mess the club was going through at the time.
IIRC, when he did go, he decided to have a pop at the Leeds fans in the press and then wondered why he got hate mail.

| I remember him flicking the V's at the Southstand one occasion. Used to hate him but that's because he was an excellent hooker that played for our arch rivals. Willing to forgive and forget, but I do have concerns about him and Brian Mac being too similar.

| I've got to say like others i never considered him a "judas" and thought he was sold rather than upped and left but i also thought he was complete p#*ck for the bile he directed at us.
I'm happy to trust GH on this and we also have to trust that Brian Mc does see Lowes as someone different to himself coaching philosphy wise.
Time will tell and i'm sure if there's any unrest or we suffer result/performance wise then they'll be out quicker than Lance.

| Bit of a mixed reaction judging by the above posts.
As yet, not one poster has opined upon what Lowes brings to the coaching set up, other than potential and being British. Any takers?

I was thinking that we could go all british, but that stopped with Adamson taking Willie's old job as u18.

I could be wrong but IIRC we didn't get a penny for Lowes because under the rules at the time to get a transfer fee a club had to offer a contract amounting to the same or more than the player was earning.Leeds offered far less due to the dire financial mess they were in,Lowes turned this down and signed for the Bulls.
Does anyone else have the same recollection of this.

| Fickle sports fans never fail to amaze.
Categorizing the way that a player leaves the club in order to hate or admire him later is just a tad obsessive and a sure sign that you're taking a form of entertainment just a little bit too seriously - maybe a good time to have a talk to yourself, go for a long walk, find an additional interest, get a friend maybe ?
I'm sure that some people would happily take part in a public execution if Iestyn Harris ever returned to Headingley as an employee.

| As the late Bill McLaren would say "I'd be dancing in the streets of <insert the name of random Scottish border town here> if Harris ever came back to Leeds.
He will make an absolutely fantastic coach IMO...

He's certainly doing some good things with the Welsh national team and the reports are great from the Crusaders aswell.
