It's a common theme for those of a ted nature to point out how well a SL player is doing in the NRL and then arriving at the erroneous conclusion that it somehow provides evidence that SL standards are just as good - and perhaps even better - than the NRL. That is not the case.

Quote: Keith Swiftcorn "By NRL standards Ellis was poor - he was a SL standard player at Leeds. I don't find it surprising that a top NRL coach was able to recognise his potential for improvement. The desire to learn, improve and test himself in an elite competition was always there.'"

I thought that that part was missing from your initial post.

Quote: Keith Swiftcorn "Gareth Ellis is worthy of everyone's respect. He's a player who has come on leaps and bounds in the NRL. He's also a testament to the top class coaching abilities of Tim Sheens who ironed out all those defensive flaws and the dodgy decision-making inherent in Ellis's game by instructing him on a back-to-basics re-education and learning program.'"

Blah blah blah NRL blah blah blah superior competition blah blah blah Stupor League blah blah blah.

Same bollox, different username.

a very valid point, but it's a shame that sheens never had the foresight to involve the rest of the wests squad in this "back to basics" training,it must have been very good as it enabled ellis to win back to back player of the year awards at the club icon_wink.gif

ellis has carried that club for these past 2 seasons eusa_clap.gif

You missed my point my bald buddy.

My point is if you put a monkey in a diner jacket all you have is a well dressed monkey. Your change of username changes nothing about your opinions or your now tired trolling style.

Either get a new act or put the troll back under his bridge.

sleepy.gif time to revitalise your now boring persona or at least change your phrasing.

But I guess it’s just a matter of time before this user account goes the same way as the last, so we’ll just have to tolerate you until you inevitably overstep the mark again.

I highly doubt you’ll see the back of him soon.

Whilst his Trolling style maybe old it’ll still work on some people. We should just welcome him back with open arms because the moderation team on this board have done just that. I read what AP put as his leaving statement a few years ago and it wasn’t pretty for either McLaren_Field or southstander. It was quickly deleted and not many would of read it.

So rather than conflict, lets embrace AP like we’d embrace an eccentric and confused pensioner in an Old peoples home who mutters the same thing every day thinking its still funny.
