| Quote Gotcha="Gotcha" I suppose more of concern is that should that have been an additional 2 to add to the 21, which should concern McClennan.'"
The 21 missed tackles are below Leeds' season average to date of 23.4
McClennan may see that as a positive sign.

| It's an improvement on the last two performances.
Although not shown above, Leeds' marker tackles hit a season high of 65 as St Helens recorded the second highest number of scoots from dummy half (51), a figure only topped by Noble's Crusaders (57) at Headingley a couple of games ago.

Just as they have been since SL began, they're a one trick scooting pony.

| Just to add to what G1 said about Kirke doing most his work in defence.
I think Phil Clarke picked up on one big thing Kirke did which was to pressure Leon Pryce early on in the second half and force a poor kick which led to us having field position and I think may have led to one of our tries.
As Peacock said against Wigan in the cup, if you can't make a difference by scoring tries, make a difference by doing something to lift the team in defence, he did it against Wigan with the tackle on Tomkins to force a poor kick, Kirke did it on Friday with his effort to pressure Pryce.

No wonder he didn't do much if he played on Friday night as well as Saturday night. He should stick to one game a week

| But I thought according to some Saints fans Peacock was shocking, and (correct me if I'm wrong SaintsFan) was a walking corpse?
Clearly some of them have been to the same optician as Uruguayan referees.

I've never been a great fan of the charge down as they seem to result in another set of six to the kicking side more often than not.
Of course when that doesn't happen it's a great tactic and a good observation by Clarke re Kirke on this occassion.

| Of Course Kirke goes to pressure the kicker. It means he is out of the next set and doesn't have to take a drive in. Hence the six, yes six, drives on Saturday.
I can't believe he's being defended for such laziness by rejoicing that he stuck his arms in the air on the sixth tackle and got noticed by the d1ckead who said Saints were more skillful than Leeds.

Kirke charged down two kicks in the opening six minutes of the second half. They gained Leeds attacking field positions for the following sets. Unfortunately McShane butchered the first of these with a coach killing 'glory' scoot on the last and Eastwood the second with a poor offload.
Single digit 'hit up' figures isn't that unusual for some of Leeds' forwards.
Carl Ablett has done this 7 times in his 11 Appearances so far this season.
