| Quote The Magic Wand="The Magic Wand"Yep, people question the signing of arguably the games 2nd best Number 9 (Cameron Smith slightly shades it).
Improving the side, its a ridiculous decision, what on earth were the club thinking.'"
Has it improved the side though? What have we achieved with Buderus that we haven't with Diskin?
Anyway, let's not detract from his performance today because he was quality. If he continues to show today's form for the rest of the season then I'm sure everyone on the board will be happy!

He is on a different planet to Diskin, thats not to say that Matt isnt effective in what he does - I repeat, Leeds have signed a better player than they had, they improved the side/squad.
And I rpeat people challenge the decision of the club, the three times in a row SL Champions.

He was exceptional, he was very good in the first Hull game but blinkered no nowts with a agenda couldnt accept that.

| Buderus was quality today, in both attack and defence. I like Diskin and although this may cause arguement, I think Diskins game has improved since the arrival of DB. Diskin now seems to boss the PTB more than he did 2 years ago and seems to make more runs from dh than he did 2 years ago. Maybe stats will prove/not prove this? Maybe it's the different coach? IMO Diskin game has improved since the arrival of DB, but that could also be Blueys influence. ATEOD if having DB here improves Diskins game to a better class of hooker, then whether we needed him at the time or not, it's got to be good for the Rhinos.

| Db had a good game as did disco. Both are completely different styles of hooker, but I thought that today we looked quite comftable playing 2 hookers. Don't really know why we always have to slag one of them off. Both are different players and bring different aspects to the Leeds team

| Class apart was Buderus, diskin good also, question the management but never buderus's class, end of the day Leeds have overstepped a massive stepping stone.

We've waited 14 months for this. Hardly unwarranted.

Has he?
Or has he come in for perfectly warranted criticism, given the imbalance between his reputation and performances?
he was excellent today, as was Diskin before him.
Luckily the coach seems to have finally realised that to get the best of his two hooker Diskin should be on the field for the heated opening exchanges and Buderus looks lots better coming off the bench when the sting has gone and the game has opened up.

I think you are completely wrong there, and been very unfair on Buderus.
He came on when we were losing and played a huge part in gaining that momentum that took us away. I don't think we would have seen that result without Buderus coming out on that pitch.
That said, I also thought Diskin had a good game too, and agree with your point about all playing a part.
It was one of those games where perhaps the two hooker thing proved to be a success? But if one highlighted who's "the daddy" it was Buderus. It was a simply sublime performance from him. The passing from dummy half was so much quicker and more accurate. There looked several legues between the two players, but then again that does not really matter I suppose.

We were behind on the scoreboard but were you really worried?
I honestly thought we had the momentum and much better shape than them that was taken advantage of by DB on the back of some very fast ptbs by the likes of Ablett,Bailey etc.
FWIW i thought we destroyed them around the ruck and Disko,DB and Burrow can take credit for that along the team overall.
Hopefully the team will maintain and improve on this standard and Disko will continue to start the games because imo it works better.

Again, we will never know that unless Buderus got a game on his own as the only hooker. I suspect we would be far better, but won't know 100% until it happens.
The two hookers worked yesterday, lets hope it can continue just like that.
Diskin had a good game yesterday, infact he was doing just fine, but Buderus really was in a different league.

Fair point with the top sentence mate and i agree 100% that hopefully we'll continue to see the 2 9's system work.
