Yes because being shorter than the average rugby league player really hurt the careers of Roger Millward and Alfie Langer. Just imagine how good they could have been.

If I were Leeds I'd be more concerned with what is coming through at half back. Burrow was extremely quiet last year and seems to be struggling terribly with his shins.'"
burrow will be fine mate and for quite some time too!
whilst your feeling all concerned about half backs that were extremely quiet last season i'd keep an eye out for that leon chappie,
if you can find him that is

| Back on subject.
As both players are "marque" players in the squad, I reckon one or possibly both will be replaced from outside the club currently.
I expect Burgess to leave at the end of his contract to go to Australia with his brother. Hope I am wrong because he will be a very good player.
Amor at the moment would seem the most natural player to follow the path that Peacock did.
But you have to remember that when Peacock goes in a couple of years, we will have most likely also lost Senior, Kylie, Ali, and Buderus. With Sinfield, JJB, and Kirke all approaching their last contracts.
The club will need a couple of cornerstones in the team to continue to build the side around.

It's a pretty high standard were using so there's no right to expect them to.
However, arguably Amor is ahead of Peacock at the same stage of his career -wasn't JP was returning from his infamous spell at Wollongong Uni!

| We have turned out SL half backs like Murrell & Tansey but they are not gonna stick around waiting for Mcguuire & Burrow to move on/retire.
We should get another 5/6 years out of them yet so It's not an immediate problem.

It's up to the current incumbents to raise themselves to Senior and Peacocks level with the likes of Coady and Amor raising themselves to the level of the current incumbents.
Thisd mrans that Delaney and the likes of Bailey, Burgess, Kirke, JJB and Leuluai (if he's still there) need to up there performances with Watkins, Coady and Amor developing as the steady players that currently support our star players.
We cannot expect Watkins, Coady and Amor to be the instant replacements, they are our development potential.

| Staying serious...all our great youngsters Sinfield, Diskin, Burrow, McGuire are really about to hit their prime - we could be in for a sublime couple of years (yes and we have already had a not bad last 5 or 6 years already)
I can see the potential replacements in place for Peacock and Senior.
Should we/ are we grooming some 15/16 year old kids ready to take the place of Burrow and McGuire - is there anybody out there?
Crazy that Tony Smith (a coach I think is generally very good but who has struggled with player underperformance these last couple of tournaments so far) has discarded Burrow. Great news for us next season though a fully refreshed and recharged Rob will be one hell of an assett

| I know that young Ryan Gaunt is highly thought of within the club so IF he lives up to his potential then he could be Burrow's heir apparent.

| Shame for Gareth Moore he arrived on the scene maybe a couple of years too early to make a go of it at Leeds.
Looked very composed and organised in awful conditions for Scotland at the weekend.

John bastien really rated him when he broke through from the u18's to the u21's aswell!
I guess he didn't quite live up to his potential and maybe some time in the lower leagues will see him improve enough to get back in SL.

He's left the club mate, signed for the Bulls.

I guess that's the problem when you see your pathwayto 1st team football blocked for 3-5 years.
cf Sean Long at Wigan & Lee Briers at Saints early in their careers.
Not that I know if Gaunt can be as good (relatively) as either of those but they were examples that came to mind. I'm sure there are others.
