| I'm sure Leeds won't be making th mistake of going into a match looking for a big score. I think a few teams have had disappointing days doing that at the Crusaders this year, as they can be quite stubborn in the opening 40 minutes. Leeds just have to go out and do the right things in attack and defence. The scoreline will look after itself. No silly champagne rugby until the platform is built.

We should beat them by 30-40 points but the cricket score most are expecting might be a bit far off.'"
Agree, i dont think people should be expecting a repeat of last week. As good as Leeds played, Castleford folded big style. One of the things Celtic will be talking about this week is if they do go behind not to collapse in the manor Castleford did. That will be the last thing the Newport crowd will want to see.

Agreed.
At this stage of the season we need to be worrying about performances. That includes completing sets in attack, and being solid in defence, which will benefit us once the serious stuff starts.

| I hope they can find a way of moving the kick off to 5.30. Would give me more time to get to the U2 gig after

| Kike won't be playing.
He was the guest in the carnegie bar after Friday's match and said he's 4 weeks away (cannot remember if that was 4 weeks from playing or 4 weeks from proper contact training)
I cannot believe that some are expecting a 50/60/70 thrashing of celtic because of our performance against Cas and Celtics poor performance against Wakey.
Whilst I hope and would love to see it Celtic will have targeted this game as one to try and perform at their best for.Firstr game at Newport and against the double back to back champions and all that.
Whilst overall Celtics results have left a lot to be desired they have been capable of raising their game for 'target' matches like Saints,Wigan and Bradford who along with ourselves would be classed as the big teams and trophy winning teams from the past/present.
Lets therefore hope that the players and coaching staff don't take the same casual attitude of some of our fans into the game

Yup.
Put the hard graft in first and formost and let the scoreboard take care off itself. As long as we perform well and do the right things then im confident that we can get the result.

Nowt else to do on the train down. I remember i went with Swarcliffe WMC to Twickers for the CC (Hudds for the day) and we started drinking at 6.30am. We hadn't got out onto the ring road and i heard the first can being opened!

| Looking forward to the trip down to Celtic this weekend.. hopefully it is a big win and we take over saints in points difference and become top of the league, regardless of whether they win against Huddersfield or not.

Hang on, the ground is about a mile away from the M6? Why bother

It only takes him a minute from Whitehaven to Newport on the M6? I wouldn't mind a go in his car...

| I have never once in my life seen a Leeds side put a side to the sword then carry on twisting the knife over and over.
Go ahead at pace, slack off and let the other side come back.
Go ahead like nobodies busines, use the second half as a training drill.
I agree with the more cautious posters here, play the game as it unfolds, see what happens on the scoreboard.
I'd take a studious fundamentally correct 1 point win anyday over a frivolous flat track bully cricket score.
