Not sure he's got the physical attributes to make it as a centre, nor the pace to be truly effective as a winger.

I'm sure he'll get a gig somewhere in SL, but I wouldn't put money on him being a first team regular wherever he goes unless he drops down a division.

Given is age, it wouldn't surprise me if he'd be asking for a significant increase on his current deal (after all, nobody plays pro-rugby for that long). The reality is that he hasn't shown enough to Leeds to merit a significant increase - even if it's due to injury.

I think he could do a job at a mid table SL team, I think he needs to move on though he's been trying his best at Leeds for 5 years now and not quite made it.

Not sure about that. he looked promising, but has been crippled by injury. We'll never know what he could have achieved if he'd stayed clear of injuries

Gibson was never particularly quick, big or elusive (at 1st grade level) even before his injury.

It is for these reasons that I doubted he would ever make a major impact at Leeds where you're always looking for a bit of something special in a promising youngster coming into 1st grade.

Gibson has had 2 years longer than he should.
