I think that is probably right.

Friday will be a much tougher game than people are giving credit to. We never seem to get it right going to Wigan.

But win that game, and we will be in a very strong position, and cant see us losing another after that.

But not confident about Friday.

Its a funny game. We won there in style last year, but I find with Wigan, when I expect to win we lose, and when I don't expect to we do. I am also a little nervous about this one.

Not 100% on playoffs this year so not sure what advantage it is but remember saints - 4 top spots, 1 title.

I would be delighted if we finish top, but it will be meaningless if we then don't go on to win the Grand Final.
BUT it would stop all the crowing elsewhere about another team being the best for the 5th year in a row.

We need to remember as well that we could also pick up crucial injuries before the end of the season, there are still 6 league games & ? play off games to go. In any one of which Peacock, say, could sustain a season ending injury.

Why are people not bothered about finishing top?

It's the only place to finish IMO. Even though it counts for little in the grand scheme of things I'd still rather Leeds took it out than anyone else.

Same here, we have a better team in better form and they are missing a few through injury but I never go to Wigan with any confidence, we always seem to freeze.

Im very bothered! But I was also bothered about the WCC and the Challenge Cup, and thats a minority view too

I agree. I personally want the club to succeed in every competition. Yes the league leaders shield isn't the most important at the end of the day but it is sill an acheivement. Considering we haven't won the wcc or cc we need at least one piece of silverware at the end of the season.

The way I think about it is this. If I were to have a choice I would go for the Grand Final. That is what makes you true champions.

I think that the league leaders shield is still special because it shows a level of consistency, but I would never swap it for the GF. IMO if you win the LL it makes the GF even more special, as it shows consistency and ability to play the big games.

Its also a trophy, not the biggest one, but its silverware, and I don't think Leeds have had enough in the last 30 years to be sniffy about one
