He was my man of the match. Looked like the only real half on the field and really took the ball to the line. His kicking to Fusitua was excellent and put into perspective how lame Austin and Sezer's efforts have been in that regard. It was an exciting glimpse of the player he will hopefully become. For all the talk of protests there were 15k there tonight. Really glad the team give us something to cheer about.

| Fus could have had five tries if someone had kicked for him earlier - he is very hard to handle in the air.
Weird weird game. Thoughts:
* Newman had his best game for ages
* Our right side of Fus, Newman, McDonnell and Sinfield looked very dangerous
* Gutted we are losing Walters still why why why
* Mik had a good dig
* great to see CJ organising the side and I thought we looked much better with him in at DH. For me I’d be starting with him at 9 next year - don’t sign an over the hill hooker we have bags of talent - getting H Smith from Wakey could be a great complement to Johnson.
Sinfield made a huge difference tonight, that’s more like he plays in the academy.

| For all the talk of Newman not being able to pass he set at least 2 trys up with some classy centre play and he kelt his emotions in check more of that Harry lad!
If Fusitua can stay fit hes a real asset

There was a point where Fus got whacked a bit in a tackle, he played the ball and then went right back up the middle again to challenge the same defenders and I loved that.
Also loved the niggle between ex-Academy teammates Johnson and Broadbent.
Cas were ghastly though.

| No idea if the Cas financial rumours on here are right but Cas played like a team that had heard the same stories.
Apart from the hooker they looked disinterested.

| Literally can’t believe the tumbleweeds from some on here when we do well and RS does a good job with a massively patched up side… if we’d got badly beat again there would be pages.

19722.gif Woody: Can I pour you a draft, Mr. Peterson?
Norm: A little early, isn't it Woody?
Woody: For a beer?
Norm: No, for stupid questions.:19722.gif |

Thanks
He was great, really took his chance well. He is still young but looked confident and was prepared to take control, something far more seasoned players have shied away from in previous games. It's just a shame that it was only because Smith was injured along with Sezer that he got the chance.
Walters was great aswell, playing as a pivot at times he looks a really gifted player. Wigan have got a real talent.

I think you may have said this last week, but Fusitua (when he's on the pitch) is probably the best player we have. Boy does he run that ball in hard.

| Tom Nicholson-Watton sounds like he should be the Tory MP for Henley-On - Thames rather than a young prop with a worse mullet than Cameron Smith.
Did ok though

They did well tonight and young Sinfield in particular. Team played with good spirit but Cas made non-stop errors.
I think most are glad season is done.

I loved the mentality of him there. Also put another shot on their centre (couldn’t quite see) like he did against Hull, he has some whack too.
I do thing Cas gave up after 20 mins and a few calls went against them. Losing Holroyd and Smith thought we had no right to win like that.
Gannon was good again too.

| Final thought from me, think we were maybe better with the ball without Cameron Smith hogging it.

Double-barrelled names meant you were posh when I were a lad. Nowadays they just mean you're a bit of a b*stard!
