| Quote: Superted "Great post - agree with pretty much it all - I'm guessing we're of a similar age and started watching Leeds as a kid in mid-80's.
The only part I'd question is around McD not improving 1 player - think that's a harsh assessment. Without really thinking about it, I'd say Hall, Watkins, Ablett, Delaney (and I'm sure if I really put some effort in, I could think of others) all improved their game over the years with McD at the helm. Whilst natural talent obviously plays a big part, it would be naive to think McD didn't play a part.'"
Those individuals already had the Talent though is my point mate none of them improved beyond that.
For e.g Look how Murray improved individuals to then become vutal cogs in the Team ,Smith did the same i dont see that with Mc.D.

| Flanagan let a quack test drugs on his squad then when banned ignored the directive not to be involved with the club from day one. He may be a good coach but ethics???

| Thought we may go for Griffin if still available. Wasn't he down to the last x2 before Sinfield / GH plumped for Furner?

McLennan was a great coach for us, so much better rugby than your idol.'" You said Handley was the worst winger in SL.
Here is one of your quotes.
" Great defensive effort. But my god we have the worst wingers in super league. I will never understand how a player like Handley can earn a living as a professional rugby league winger, terrible."
You then went on to describe him as a player of amateur level. But carry on making stuff up.

Id say so judging by his interview on Sky.
I’m ok with that to be honest, I really think we need a little bit of stability.
He’s brave though because if it starts badly he’ll be gone quite quickly

| It would make sense just to extend his existing interim role until they can find the right candidate to replace him.
Nothing to stop them keeping it loose and then he returns to the back office when the time is right.

Appears he wants it. He sounds like he's been realistic. He see.s to have the backing of the players and judging by what they said on sky he now needs to win over the fans. I hope he does as it'll mean we are playing well.
I just feel we lack a bit of mental steel playerwise that the likes of Sinfield, Peacock, Maguire, Ellis etc brought us. Now we're safe hopefully we can make those one or two signings that can drag the team along and see if Agar can galvanize them.

Get that but apart from maybe Tony Smith which coaches have we been excited about. Maybe the squad is the most important thing and the coach just needs to keep them motivated and hungry and do the research for tactics game by game.
Hes been better than Furner but also had better players. A couple of signings and a full off season will prove if it's a masterstroke, no difference or a disaster.
