| Quote: D4mo78 "Completely agree!! We can't go from being rubbish and losing to great and winning in a few weeks. And the point you make about covering missed tackles is a really good one. The attitude of some has been questioned this season, but yesterday there was more desire to work for each other. That's a big part of what will pull us through this.'"
Absolutely. I couldn't see that result coming in a million years so let's take it with both hands. Yes theres still a huge amount of improvement needed still but that result yesterday can be a building block. Considering we had half the pack out injured also. Ava and Merrin will add some much needed toughness in the middle for KR at home.

| Quote: christopher "Bit of both, we had a lot of shifting positions to do with Hurrell going off injuried then having 2 sin binnings and sutcliffe going off for 15 mins.
Interesting to see we scored 3 from kicks on the last which has generally been poor this year
Id like to see Briscoes sin binning again, to me he got binned because it looked dangerous rather than him actually causing it (if you now what I mean?)
In some ways the performances are pretty irrelevant in the next few games, I’ll take 2 wins from the next 2 games even if it’s down to the other team playing poorly'"
Agreed, I think the various disruptions (Hurrell injured, sin-bins, rotations, Sutty off, Dwyer carrying a knock 2nd half(?)) are what gave them a look-in. For example, whilst Oledski did well I thought it was him who moved out of position leaving the gap for the O'Brien sucker try from dummy half? Just a bit of inexperience of course but important all the same.
It would be interesting to see both sin-bin incidents again. I really do think Hicks has some kind of problem with us and that the Giants players reaction to both influenced the sin-bin decisions both times. Are all refs going to sin-bin anyone who tackles in the air (accidental or intentional) from now onwards?
I would definitely have taken a 20 point win beforehand so very happy with the result.

| 2 points is 2 points and I'll take them however they come. Good showing in the 1st half and one of the main differences in the 2nd half was Hudds control of Dwyer. Not the greatest quality rugby but keep grinding out some wins and I still think we will finish the low end of mid table. Fwiw I think we may struggle against Wakey and beat KR. 4 out of 6 over Easter is better than we were hoping for a couple of weeks ago

I would also like to see both incidents again. At the game I thought Briscoe was very lucky, and had no complaints about his binning, thought he was stupid. The Peteru one though looked a terrible decision, and not even a penalty for me. Tackle looked absolutely fine. You talk about Hicks, and I agree there is something weird that goes through his head, although I think officials are terrible full stop in super league. But the worst decision of the game was in the first half, where a kick across from huddersfield was going straight out of play, and the right winger knocked the ball back into play, whilst one foot was over the line and the other on the line. The linesman was looking right down, and ignored it. Terrible officiating.

| Quote: christopher "Also I know he gets some stick but we do look a lot better with Myler in the team, he seems to be the only one in the team that can guide the team around.
I think Sutcliffe has got the stand off position pretty much guaranteed bar injury, I’m not saying its deserved but that’s how it seems, if we can guarantee safety with a few games to go Id like to see Mclleland get a run though.
Hirrells injury could be the making of Newman who IMO is a real talent.'"
Sutcliffe as been very good at 6 and has gone full circle and refound his position again righ back where he started, with Tui at full back aswell we look better balanced. Walker when fit will have to settle for a bench spot for now.

| I’d play Walker on the wing, a full back is a waste of a bench spot

walker could be our 1,2,5,6,7 or even 9 option if he keeps improving...if they keep hurrell in the second row he could switch back to the centres if we get injuries there too
what yesterdays win should do is give us confidence to move forward..we have a chance to possibly win 6 of the next 7 and put the idea of relegation firmly to bed

Despite been named there Hurrell didn’t play 2nd row, Watkins did.
If we can win 6 of our next 7 we should be in contention for the play offs. However we will need to improve our goal line defence if we are to stand a chance of reaching the grand final.
