On form Salford and KR are better than us. To beat either of them we'll have to play better than we have recently. With the CC distraction around the biggest danger will be losing a game we should win, which could make things very tight.

get beat by Warrington, by a big margin and finally its might hit home, we are in deep trouble. 3 wins and a draw in 14 games.

Problem is that this^ team has barely shown up, aside from the Saints game and the odd 20 mins here and there. The other incarnation has been stinking the place out for the bulk of the season, and odds are they'll be there for long patches in the middle 8s. On current form few of the fixtures are a given.

I find it hard to believe this team won at both Warrington and saints earlier in the season

On paper we're stronger now than in either of those games, excluding Watkins.

All the other teams finished below Leeds in the table - what does that say about their quality?

Unless Leeds have significant injuries to key player e.g. Parcell/Myler they should easily retain their SL status

Form is much more critical than quality in games against vaguely well matched opponents. Salford and Hull KR finished below Leeds because Leeds racked up top 4 or 5 amounts of points in the first third/half of the season.

If we finally manage to run into some form we will be OK. If we don't we may still be OK but it won't be half as easy.

Stop worrying chaps, at the end of the season after the play offs etc, SL will announce that SL is expanding to 16 teams, made up of the 12 teams in SL plus the top 4 teams in the championship, can you imagine if it was announced before the play offs. This gives an equal split across SL, with teams in Yorkshire, Lancs, Cheshire, Hull, France plus team from London and Canada.
Have you wondered why Leigh have been desperate to off load players before the year end, They want at al costs to have Toronto in SL , they can't afford Leeds to drop down into the Championship and they want a second French team in SL . Let's see what happens

2 things,

1st, Salford a form team? Give over.

2nd, we won at Widnes this year.

We hung onto a narrow lead for 20 mins in the cup V Widnes when most observers felt had the game been on TV we would have lost due to some VR decisions that would have gone the way of Widnes.

Other than that we haven't won there in the league for several seasons. Not helped no doubt by the number of lower leg injuries we seem to pick up whenever we play there

Salford at home is a given. people going on because they won a dead rubber. they're garbage and will be lucky to stop up

Halifax, London and Toulouse at home should be 3 wins in the bag.

That leaves us needing 2 wins from, Salford, Hull KR, Widnes and Toronto to avoid the MPG. That should not be difficult.

Not really.if we can't beat those three teams we deserve to get relegated and probably will.

The only club you've beaten in about 3 months is Widnes and a club that didn't qualify for the m8s. Widnes have also recruired since then. I completely fail to see how you can be confident in beating any team until at the moment.

The confidence comes from 10 years of winning countless trophies. That’s why we expect to pick up the Super League Qualifiers Shield without too much difficulty. Glad to clear that up.
