Wish somebody would.....in the dressing room that is, so he can't get out onto the field.

| Kirke didn't do himself any favours on the old carries front against Hull KR.
It's all getting a bit silly now.

| 6. I nailed it on the other thread. He got a large amount of minutes Friday as well. peacock made 31 carries. We're royally fooked when that lad hangs em up.
His tackle count was up this week on last though.
Foster improving on the carry front from the previous game.

As I pointed out on Friday, he made 5 in his first stint, and indeed showed an appetite for work.
What he was doing in his second stint therefore, god only knows.

His mis-tackles seem to be stacking up, he was back to Mr Windmill Arms on Friday night.
JP is a freak. The only second phase we had on Friday seemed to be from him getting the ball out.

| I watched him Friday (obsessed, I know). He hangs back behind the play, drifting into the wide channels and purposely avoiding the ball (I know, I don't know his intent but it looks obvious to me).
Ian's new publicity shot for nest year's media guide.

| 6 carries for 34 yards this week.
Even more criminal, and not the player's fault, 6 carries for Kallum Watkins as well, including two tries. From memory, he didn't get the ball once in our 28-play stint on the Rovers line.

| Was Burrow at dummy-half in that spell?
I kept thinking Leeds are going left, left, left in order to drag the defence towards the Hardaker/Hall sideline in order to spin it wide right on the fourth or fifth for Watkins or Duckworth to stroll over unopposed. I was wrong though as they continued with a left, left, left again.
Shambolic. So bad it had to be a set-up for later in the year.

That was the most frustrating thing on Friday. Watkins showed early on he had the beating of his opposite number, but during the 2nd half received not a decent pass apart from the try. He threw his arms in the air on at least a couple of occasion as Burrow decided to go alone when Watkins had loads of space.

If you choose to play with one hand tied behind your back in the regular season it certainly makes it easier when you play with both hands in the play-offs. Nasty ambush for the opposition too...

Couldn't agree more regarding Watkins
All sides have members of their side that are renowned for being "Go to players"
We have been blessed recently by two of the best ever IMO in Senior and Lauitiiti and whilst they were in their prime they both had the ability to produce something out of nothing when given enough quality ball and defenders simply didn't know how to defend against them
IMO we have probably the most talented player in SL at present in kallum Watkins with his ability to beat a man just with his footwork alone, How dangerous would he be if he was also given good service whilst he was running good lines and into gaps too

| Pity we can`t swap Burrow for Clarke at Cas and maybe throw in our ace up the sleeve and let them take Kirke.

Absolutely. As I have said before, McNamara gets more out of Watkins than we do. He is almost unplayable near the opposition line, he draws so much attention he creates space and if you don't double up on him he scores.
Moon on the other side needs to learn how to run straighter and maintain the space outside him - he is a strong, dangerous runner and he needs to use the attention he attracts to put Hall away properly.
We also have no left sided ball handling back row. For all the trouble he could cause Hock would fit there, maybe the Leeds culture could have rubbed off on him.

Hauraki would also fit the bill for a ball handling back rower (although not neccessarily on the left) but unfortunately the coaching set-up at Leeds couldn't get it out of him when they had the opportunity.
I once queried the McNamara selection of Brett Ferres referring to him as a SL standard rather than an International standard player - Cas' equivalent of Carl Ablett at that time - one of them has improved their game out of sight since then while the other continues to stagnate as a player.
