| Saints will be ok when they get some spine back. They are really suffering without key players and are severely lacking in patience around the squad. The younger players coming in are looking a bit swamped as some of the more seasoned troops just seem to be a little lacking in game intelligence which is surprising given what they have achieved over the past 5/6 years.
Wigan despite all the noises just seem to be going through the motions, they dont look bad but they aren't quite the all conquering team we were led to believe they were going to be. Still a lot of games to be played and Im sure Matty Peet will have them focussed a bit further down the track but ATM they look pretty bang average / taken their foot of the gas a little to me anyway.
Wire a purring at the moment, despite the pre season questions of Burgess hes at least moulded a team together who seem to enjoy playing with one another and can play some incredible RL when it all comes together. I still think theyll "pull a Warrington" and bugger it up at some point but.....
HKR for me are punching above their weight, they dont have all the "stars" of the other teams but ive been impressed with them all season. The only thing is what if Mikey Lewis get injured? can they win without him? for me hes my Man of steel nominee. Its a team made up of various parts where Parcell interchanges brilliantly with Litten who again has been quality and they really seem to "enjoy" playing as a group. Im going to say it, they are my dark horses to make the GF,. Have they got enough to win it? thats another story.

| It’s proving to be a fascinating end to the season. For me it’s between Warrington, Wigan and HKR, Wigans big match experience May clinch it in the end. Although the play off places may turn up a few shocks.

| Wigan were brilliant tonight. French is a magician, and Wardle is best centre in the league imho. Will be theirs to lose now….

| Sympathy for Tomkins there. Absolutely pathetic from Hankinson. The RFL needs to get that out of the game asap, it's becoming more and more like soccer every day.

| Try/No try strikes again. Farcical. Utterly, utterly farcical.

| The VR actually convinced himself it was a try which it clearly was only to bottle it and go with the onfield decision.

He even went to the grounding, and then gave no try. Bizarre!
Must've pressed the wrong button.

That`s what I thought and half expected him to change it back to try.

| As athletic and exciting as he is, I can understand why people think we are better without Nene. Even taking the off field stuff out of it, he’s a complete basket case. Bad reads and penalties galore have cost Salford tonight so far.

| A couple of old boys playing well tonight.
Watkins and Hardaker who I thought played really well from second row to wing to full back.
Can we get Mulhern back?

Mulhern, wouldn’t be against trout either. Both club trained.

| I know it's at least 12 months away, but we could definitely do a lot worse than Adrian Lam as our next coach. In terms of shape and structure, Leigh are the best team in the league IMO.

| The fascinating question for me: is if Connor does come and Mom does leave, where do we use the quota spot? Connor isn't the type of big, ball carrying athlete I'd presumed Arthur would want. Suppose the virtue of playing him in the centre would be that we could move for an extra quota prop or second row. Equally, we could use him as a genuine spine utility and still target a quota 3/4.
