Phelps has been one of our best players both last season and the start of this, we also have Harrison Hansen out. Not sure if you realized, but Sam Tomkins (arguably our key player) only played 40 mins as did Andy Coley.

You also had Fielden out there and two hookers far from fully fit.
Most Leeds fans will be reasonably satisfied with a gutsy effort and avoiding a shallacking but Wigan had some issues as well.

Project forward three months with our 8 players back, that game at Headingley and us in a run of form.
Should be interesting. Great result for4 Wigan tonight (and a deserved result) but they are far from being crowned champions yet.,'"
The underlined isn't like you Gareth! Time of the month or something? For the record we had Hansen missing too and Phelps has been a standout player when fit this season.
The rest, I agree with though.

| I'm far from worried so far from what I've seen, and not really interested in the league table.
Leeds will make the play offs, and I'm also confident it will be a top 4 place.

This is the problem with your posts. You state an opinion and then go on to post as if it's fact. The only thing we know for certain is that either team is capable of winning any game between us this season. Given that, even at full strength and against a considerably less potent Wigan side, you have struggled to beat us at our place in recent seasons and you are now 8 points off the pace, and also given that are there is a strong possiblilty that, should you meet us in the playoffs, it will be at the DW, are you really so confident that you will "laugh last" given that scenario?
Be happy that a seriously depleted team did you proud last night and also gave good indication that you may be returning to some form, but also acknowledge that there are more teams in this league than Leeds. I can only conclude that you have only been watching Leeds during the good times as anyone who has seen both sides of the coin is far more realistic than to give away so much sig material this early in the season. I get embarrassed when fans from our club come out with statements like the above. I'm assuming your fellow Leeds fans feel much the same about your posts. Do yourself a favour and learn some humility. If you do "laugh last" it's because you will have deserved it. No more, no less! It most certainly isn't a given.

Fuelled by lager.
DIdn't mean to dis-credit Wigan. Was more trying to focus on the positives for us and highlight the differences right now between us in terms of form and players available. Thus giving even more credence to our display.
Take it as a compliment. You beat us easy and we're pleased with how we went. If you keep this up and go on to be crowned champions you'll get even more attention like this. Several teams this year have celebrated like they have won a cup final after beating us in the league rounds. That's what happens when you're successful.

| It's probably my fault.
I think I said he was half decent once so G1 (by default) has to take the opposite view so we can have a debate about it.

| He's hardly gash. Can play anywhere in the backline and can fill in at 9. He's a decent utility player.

Ah! so it's you who's the good judge then! My apologies.
For the record I'd say he was more than half decent. He is first choice fullback ahead of Roberts and Richards (both of whom would walk in as fullback at most SL teams and, in Amos' case, already has in more than 1 NRL side!) He was leading the way in try assists and was, arguably, our stand out player in the first few rounds prior to his injury. Defensively sound, good pace, offers a half-back's creativity from fullback (he played there at Junior level for the Aussies) and as brave as they come. On top of that he's a great club man. Having seen pretty much all the fullbacks either live or on Sky (both in most cases) I can safely say, up to now, he's easily been the best in SL so far this season in only his 2nd season as a regular in the position.
